Easily the most expensive player on the Super Bowl DFS slate, Patrick Mahomes enters the big game with a $18,900 price tag in the captain slot. While this seems expensive, bookmakers predict this game to score 54.5-points. Likely contributing to multiple scores, Mahomes makes sense in the utility spot this weekend.
Even in a season limited by injury, Mahomes posted impressive statistics. Averaging just over 290 passing yards per game, Mahomes completed 65.9-percent of his passes with a 7.9 Net Yards per Attempt. Ranking inside the top ten in both metrics, matchup remains Mahomes’ primary obstacle. The 49ers defense ranked first in passing yards allowed per game (173.8), but Mahomes routinely diced up even the NFL’s top defenses throughout 2019.
Even with the elevated price here, Mahomes makes sense as a building block in DFS lineups this weekend.
