Preseason gives fantasy players a first look at how rookies, new starters, and potential fantasy-relevant players will be used. It also drives a lot of fear and hype that causes big changes in ADP. Sometimes fantasy players overreact to preseason performances or play time, but that usually allows other teams to pass or strike on players that they feel are being over/undervalued.
