Backup RBs Given a Chance to Shine
The Week 4 injury bug struck hard this week, knocking out both Nick Chubb and Austin Ekeler for 4-6 weeks after they recently started hitting their strides over the past couple of games. Entering Week 4 Chubb and Ekeler were the RB6 and RB8, respectively, in half-PPR leagues and were looking fantastic as second-round fantasy picks. With their timelines taking us into the second half of the season, managers are now scrambling to find a suitable replacement to tie them over in the meantime. It doesn’t appear that the injuries are long-term in nature so dynasty managers don’t need to worry in that regard and the players’ upside over the next few years is on an upward trajectory; don’t fall victim to taking low-ball offers for those looking to pull a quick one to stay competitive while they are out - in a dynasty league you should have the depth to fill one position and hopefully you don’t have both players on the same squad.
