FanDuel Picks Week 4

We have another 13-game slate this week for the FanDuel Week 4 main slate, and it’s looking like it will be a fun one. There are 5 games with an implied total of 47 or more points, and that’s not even including an exciting matchup between Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson on Sunday Night Football, which currently has a 46.5 implied total. There’s a good mix of studs and value plays this week, leaving tons of potential options for how you can build your lineups. Without further ado, here are my favorite plays for this week on FanDuel.

Quarterbacks

Jayden Daniels - WAS @ ARI ($8200)

Jayden Daniels broke out in a big way last week, putting up 28 points on FanDuel. It was his second 28-point performance of the season, but his massive week 1 performance was fueled by 88 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. He showed he could get it done through the air last week, completing 21 passes on 23 attempts with 254 passing yards and 2 passing touchdowns to go along with a rushing touchdown. He has proven himself to be a true dual-threat quarterback and now travels to Arizona for a game with an implied total of 50.5, the highest on the slate. He has as much upside as any quarterback but comes at a slight discount compared to guys such as Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.

CJ Stroud - JAC @ HOU ($7800)

CJ Stroud gets a great matchup against the Jaguars, who are coming off of a game where they gave up 47 points to the Bills. Stroud has had mediocre outings so far this year, but I think it’s safe to say that he’s due for his best performance yet. Tank Dell is unlikely to play, but that actually makes Stroud easier to play in large-field GPPs where you have to get his stacking partners correct. The target share should be more consolidated than usual, leaving Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs, and Dalton Schultz as options to pair him with.

Other Plays: Kyler Murray ($8700), Justin Fields ($6800)

Running Backs

Breece Hall - DEN @ NYJ ($8000)

Breece Hall has averaged a very good 17 points per game through 3 weeks, but it still feels like he has left points on the table. He has slate-breaking potential every week, and I think this is the week where he can break out and put up 30 points. He gets a great matchup against the Broncos at home, in a game that the Jets are heavily favored to win. Hall should be able to run all over the opposition and get plenty of touches after the Jets get out to a solid lead. He is my top-ranked running back for week 4, yet he is priced as only the eighth most expensive.

James Conner - WAS @ ARI ($7500)

James Conner is a perfect bring-back for Jayden Daniels stacks. If the Cardinals take the lead like they are favored to do, there’s a high likelihood they run the ball more while the Commanders are passing to play catch up. His price is still very affordable compared to his role in the offense, and his measly 3-point performance last week should limit ownership to some extent this week. He had 42 touches through the first two weeks of the season, and I expect him to get back to that type of volume again in this spot.

Other Plays: Kyren Williams ($8100), Brian Robinson Jr. ($7300), Josh Jacobs ($7100)

Wide Receivers

Diontae Johnson - CIN @ CAR ($6200)

Diontae Johnson was the biggest beneficiary of the quarterback change in Carolina, catching 8 passes on 14 targets for 122 yards and 1 touchdown. He looked like an actual WR1 for his team, something that seemed impossible after two weeks with Bryce Young where Johnson scored a total of 5.9 points. I have him ranked as a top 12 wide receiver for this week, which is a steal at only $6200.

Nico Collins - JAC @ HOU ($7700)

I’ve already mentioned why I like CJ Stroud this week, so it makes sense that Collins is also one of my top wide receivers. I expect the Texans to score a ton of points against the Jaguars, and the absence of Tank Dell will only help Collins. It’s not like he needs the help, as he has already collected 28 targets through 3 games. He’s topped 100 receiving yards in two of them, and there’s a good chance this week will be his third.

Chris Godwin - PHI @ TB ($7300)

Chris Godwin enjoyed another touchdown score last week, continuing his streak of scoring in every game this season. More importantly, it was another week with 8+ targets, as he finished the day with 6 catches on 9 targets for 53 yards. That volume should continue in week 4, as the Bucs are underdogs against an Eagles team who have an exploitable secondary. Godwin has looked like a top 10 wide receiver this season and presents great value as he is still priced in the low $7k range.

Other Plays: Drake London ($6600), Terry McLaurin ($6500), Jayden Reed ($6300)

Tight Ends

Cole Kmet - LAR @ CHI ($5300)

Cole Kmet had a breakout game last week that didn’t get as much attention as it should have, thanks to Dallas Goedert taking all of the attention at the tight end position. Kmet caught 10 balls on 11 targets for 97 yards and a touchdown, good for 20.7 points on FanDuel. It looked like rookie Caleb Williams finally found something last week, and he clearly has good trust and connection with his tight end. I expect that to continue in week 4, and Kmet doesn’t even need a repeat 20-point performance to return value at just $5300.

Dalton Schultz - JAC @ HOU ($5400)

This is looking like a week where I pay down at tight end, with Dalton Schultz representing another great value option at just $5400. As stated previously, I expect the Texans to have a big game, and Schultz should be in line for a bigger workload to make up for the injured Tank Dell. He hasn’t done much so far this year, but he did see a season-high 5 targets last week. That number could rise past 7 this week, making him look more like his former self when he was more of a focal point of this offense.

Other Plays: Travis Kelce ($7100), Brock Bowers ($6500)

Defenses

Expensive - New York Jets vs DEN ($4800)

Mid-Priced - Houston Texans vs JAC ($4100)

Cheap - Las Vegas Raiders vs. CLE ($3700)
