Allen Lazard: Records three receptions

Lazard recorded three receptions on six targets for 62 yards in Sunday's loss in the NFC Championship Game against Tampa Bay.

Analysis: Lazard made several clutch grabs, including a 23-yard reception late in the first quarter to convert on third down to keep a drive alive that ultimately ended with a touchdown. He topped 15 yards with his other two receptions on the day, one of which directly led to another score for the Packers. Lazard was limited to 11 games during the regular season by a core injury, but improved his performance from a per-game perspective in his third season as a professional. Heading into the 2021 season, Lazard in an exclusive rights free agent, meaning the team can simply tender him a contract to retain him on the roster.

Allen Lazard: Cleared to face Bucs

Lazard (wrist/back) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Analysis: The Packers have consistently limited Lazard's practice participation since he returned from core muscle surgery in November, but he hasn't actually missed any games. He played a huge role in the win over Los Angeles last week, catching four of eight targets for 96 yards and a touchdown while playing 72 percent of the snaps on offense.

Allen Lazard: Logs another limited session

Lazard (wrist/back) was limited at Thursday's practice, Olivia Reiner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Analysis: This is par for the course for Lazard ever since he was cleared to return to action Week 11 following core muscle surgery back on Oct. 1. He put together his best outing since the procedure this past Saturday against the Rams -- four catches (on eight targets) for 96 yards and one touchdown -- so he has some momentum heading into the NFC Championship Game. Friday's injury report likely will pave the way for Lazard to face the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Allen Lazard: Limited at practice

Lazard (wrist/back) was listed as limited on Wednesday's practice report.

Analysis: Lazard was one of 10 Green Bay players classified as limited Wednesday, but so far there's no indication that the wideout is in any danger of missing Sunday's NFC Championship Game against Tampa Bay. Last week, Lazard logged limited practices as well, but ended up not not carrying an injury designation for this Saturday's divisional-round win over the Rams.

Allen Lazard: Clinches playoff victory

Lazard recorded four receptions on eight targets for 96 yards and a touchdown in the Packers' divisional-round win over the Rams.

Analysis: Lazard led the Packers in yards, thanks to a 58-yard touchdown reception midway through the fourth quarter to clinch a win. It was a moment of redemption for Lazard, as he dropped what appeared to be another long touchdown earlier in the game. After commanding no more than six targets in any of the final seven regular season contests, Lazard appears to have reasserted himself as the team's second wide receiver.

Allen Lazard: Ready for Saturday's game

Lazard (core/wrist) does not carry an injury designation for Saturday's NFC divisional-round game against the Rams.

Analysis: Lazard continues to have his practice reps capped since undergoing core-muscle surgery Week 11, but his status for Saturday's game never appeared to be in true jeopardy. The Packers have eased him back into action since, but Lazard could be required to play a key offensive role Saturday given that Jalen Ramsey will likely shadow Davante Adams.

Allen Lazard: Limited Wednesday

Lazard (core/wrist) was limited at practice Wednesday.

Analysis: Lazard is following his usual practice routine since his return from core muscle surgery Week 11, which includes a cap on his practice reps but clearance for game action on the final injury report. He should experience the same fate this week, but he also hasn't made a significant impact over the last seven games, hauling in 20 of 29 passes for 197 yards and one touchdown.

Allen Lazard: Limited at Tuesday's walk-through

Lazard (core/wrist) was listed as limited on Tuesday's estimated practice report.

Analysis: With a week to rest up since the end of the regular season, Lazard continues to be hindered by a pair of injuries. The former calls back to Oct. 1 core muscle surgery, while the latter only appeared the final two weeks of the campaign. The Packers have yet to unleash him since he returned Week 11 from a stint in IR, resulting in 20 catches (on 29 targets) for 197 yards and one touchdown over the last seven contests.

Allen Lazard: Quiet in finale

Lazard was targeted four times and caught two passes for 17 yards in Sunday's victory over the Bears.

Analysis: Lazard got off to a hot start in 2020, tallying 254 receiving yards and two scores over his first three games of the season. However, a core injury suffered in Week 3 cost him the next six games, and he was not the same afterward, putting up just 197 yards and one touchdown over the last seven weeks. While Lazard is not producing much, he is spending plenty of time on the field, as he finished second among Packers skill players in offensive snaps in both Weeks 16 and 17.

Allen Lazard: Active for Week 17

Lazard (core/wrist) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Bears, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Analysis: Green Bay has activated Lazard for its regular-season finale despite the 25-year-old never reaching full participation throughout the week. Limited practice reps have been the norm since Lazard returned from midseason core muscle surgery, but he hasn't missed a game since Week 11. Dating back to Thanksgiving, Lazard has collected five consecutive starts while garnering a workload of 42 offensive snaps per game. However, Lazard has yet to reestablish his impressive pace from Weeks 1 through 3 when he accumulated 13 catches for 254 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Allen Lazard: Another limited session

Lazard (core/wrist) was limited at Thursday's practice.

Analysis: Since he returned to the lineup Week 11 following a six-game absence due to core muscle surgery, Lazard has had his practice reps capped. In six contests in the interim, he's only reached 50 receiving yards twice and scored one touchdown on 25 targets. Lazard likely will be available again Sunday at Chicago, but he has yet to show his early season strides from before the procedure.

Allen Lazard: Limited at practice Wednesday

Lazard (core/wrist) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday.

Analysis: For a second straight week, Lazard's practice reps are capped by dual core and wrist issues. That said, he handled a typical 62 percent of the offensive snaps this past Sunday against the Titans, but his output (two catches for 14 yards on two targets) was lacking. Lazard will aim to brush aside his injuries in order to serve as the Packers' No. 2 wide receiver again Sunday in Chicago.

December 30, 2020 2:27 PM EST

Allen Lazard: Lowest yardage total of season

Lazard was targeted twice and caught two passes for 14 yards in Sunday's victory over the Titans.

Analysis: Lazard was on the field for just 62 percent of the plays the Packers' offense ran Sunday, but he essentially handled a full workload, as the 41 snaps he saw were just six fewer than any other skill player on the roster. While he spent plenty of time on the field, he was not very involved, and the 14 yards he finished with were his fewest in a game this season. Lazard will close out the regular season against the Bears, a team that allowed opposing wideouts to find the end zone 11 times over its last seven games.

Allen Lazard: Good to go

Lazard (core/wrist) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Tennessee, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Analysis: A limited practice participant throughout week, Lazard never appeared in serious danger of missing Sunday's game. He's averaged just 33.2 yards in five games since returning from injured reserve, but he did catch five of six targets for 56 yards last week, with 77 percent snap share being his largest since Week 3. Lazard also gets a nice matchup this week, facing a Tennessee defense that's given up the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers.

December 25, 2020 1:29 PM EST

Allen Lazard: Puts in limited practice

Lazard (core/wrist) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Analysis: The Packers have capped Lazard's reps in both of their first two practices of Week 16, but head coach Matt LaFleur hasn't expressed any concern about the receiver's chances of playing Sunday against the Titans. Assuming Lazard is cleared to suit up this weekend, he'll be looking to build on a strong showing in the Packers' win over the Panthers in Week 15. He handled his biggest snap share (77 percent) since Week 3 in that contest, finishing the day with five receptions for 56 yards on six targets.

December 24, 2020 1:53 PM EST

Allen Lazard: Puts in limited showing

Lazard (core/wrist) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

Analysis: For the first time since he was activated from IR, Lazard logged at least 75 percent of the offensive snaps -- 77, to be precise -- Week 15 against the Panthers. In the first four games after he was cleared to play following Oct. 1 core muscle surgery, his range was 46 to 69 percent. Lazard proceeded to haul in five of six targets for 56 yards, but he's now also dealing with a wrist issue along with the 'core' injury that's been a regular one for him on Packers practice reports. He has two more sessions remaining this week, at which point the team could clear up his availability for Sunday night's game versus the Titans.

December 23, 2020 2:03 PM EST

Allen Lazard: Claims more targets

Lazard recorded five receptions on six targets for 56 yards in Week 15 against the Panthers.

Analysis: Lazard matched his best target total since returning from a core injury in Week 11. His performance was made impressive by the fact that he finished second on the team in targets while also leading the team in receiving yards. Even after recording receptions of 22, 14 and 12 yards, Lazard's performance was blemished by a drop at the end of the first half that cost the Packers the opportunity to add to their lead. Nevertheless, it was a positive performance for Lazard, and he could be in line for more volume in Week 16 against the Titans.

December 19, 2020 9:41 PM EST

Allen Lazard: Ready for Saturday

Lazard (core) doesn't have a designation for Saturday's contest against the Panthers, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

Analysis: Despite being limited in practice all week, Lazard is ready to roll for a fifth straight game since his lengthy stint on injured reserve due to Oct. 1 core muscle surgery. The Packers have yet to fully unleash Lazard since the procedure, and if his activity level on the field this week is any indication, he may be slated for his usual handful of targets Saturday.

December 17, 2020 1:47 PM EST

Allen Lazard: Another limited practice

Lazard (core) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Analysis: The Packers have limited Lazard's workload, both on the field and in practice, since his return from IR in Week 11. There's not yet any reason to worry about Lazard's status for Saturday's home game against the Panthers, but as long as he's being held below 70 percent of offensive snaps it will be difficult to trust the 25-year-old to log consistent fantasy production.

December 16, 2020 12:59 PM EST

Allen Lazard: Gets limited tag again

Lazard (core) is listed as limited on Tuesday's estimated practice report.

Analysis: Lazard has yet to be fully unleashed since he returned from injured reserve, playing between 60 and 69 percent of the snaps on offense in three of four games (in the fourth, it was 46 percent). The results (a 11-110-1 line on 17 targets) haven't approached his early season form -- 13-254-2 on the same number of targets Weeks 1 through 3 -- prior to core muscle surgery. It's unclear when the Packers will allow him to log 85-90 percent of those plays again, but when he does he could take off with the offense running on all cylinders at the moment.
