Signs in Steel City

The Steelers signed Jones to the practice squad Tuesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis: Jones signed with the Bills' practice squad in October when they had a COVID-19 outbreak in the tight-end room, and he's entering a similar situation in Pittsburgh, as Vance McDonald is currently on the reserve/COVID list. If McDonald returns for this week's matchup against the Jaguars, Jones likely won't be called up.

Joins Bills' practice squad

The Bills signed Jones to the practice squad Wednesday.
