After recording just two catches through the first three weeks of the 2026 season, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Darius Cooper has emerged as a more reliable contributor lately. Across his last two games, Cooper has recorded five catches for 104 yards and three touchdowns on 10 targets. The 24-year-old has established himself as a red zone target for Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, as four of his seven catches on the season have gone for touchdowns. The Eagles may get star wideout DeVonta Smith (hamstring) back from his two-game absence in Week 6, which would likely significantly impact Cooper's playing time and target share. Still, Cooper could be worth targeting on the waiver wire in deeper leagues just in case Smith remains sidelined by his hamstring injury for Philadelphia's Week 6 matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

Darius Cooper Likely to Play Meaningful Snaps versus Jaguars in Week 5
Due to injuries in the wide receiver corps for the Philadelphia Eagles, Darius Cooper is expected to have an increased role against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5 in London. The Eagles will be without No. 1 wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and fellow wideout Hollywood Brown (ankle) against the Jaguars. Meanwhile, starting running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) and backup running back Tank Bigsby (abdomen, IR) are both out, while wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (hamstring) is expected to play but is dealing with a hamstring issue he suffered during the practice week. Cooper will likely work with Wicks and rookie Makai Lemon as Philadelphia's top receiver trio in Week 5. With Smith, Brown and tight end Dallas Goedert all out in a Week 4 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Cooper played 55 offensive snaps. He saw seven targets, and while he only recorded three receptions, Cooper made the most of them with two touchdowns and 33 yards. His seven targets, 33 receiving yards and two touchdowns all led the team, while his three receptions were tied for the most on a day when quarterback Jalen Hurts only threw for 93 yards. While Goedert is expected to return in Week 5, there should still be plenty of opportunities for Cooper. According to Pro Football Focus, Cooper ranks fourth in the NFL in fantasy points per touch (5.28). He has recorded just five receptions for 59 yards so far in 2026, but three of his five catches have been touchdowns. Cooper ranks as RotoBaller's No. 63 wide receiver for Week 5, and he is projected to score 5.6 fantasy points against the Jaguars. He is a touchdown-dependent boom-or-bust flex play at best this week, but it is probably best to leave Cooper out of lineups for Week 5.

The immediate appeal depends heavily on Smith's availability. If Smith misses another game, Cooper should again have a path to significant snaps when Philadelphia faces Jacksonville in Week 5. RotoBaller currently ranks him 42nd among all waiver options and recommends adding him in 12-team leagues. Philadelphia's offense entered Week 4 riddled with injuries, forcing Cooper into a more than 41% snap share for the first time in his career. In fact, the former undrafted free agent fell just a snap behind teammate Dontayvion Wicks (56) for the team lead. His yardage and receptions matched career highs, while his target total set a new high-water mark. It was decent production in a game in which quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for a paltry 93 yards. If fellow wideout DeVonta Smith (hamstring) misses another week, then fantasy managers can turn to Cooper as a nice DFS play. However, the latter is expected to slide back into a depth role once Smith returns. Philadelphia will line up for a date with Jacksonville in London next Sunday.

Cooper caught three passes for 44 yards in Saturday's 24-21 loss to New England, with gains of 25 and 13 yards from Andy Dalton. The 25-yarder came on a crossing route where he broke contact, while the 13-yard grab moved the chains on fourth down. He also led Philadelphia with two catches for 21 yards in the preseason opener. Camp has looked similar. Cooper made multiple contested catches from Jalen Hurts on August 7, then beat Kobee Minor on a go route during the August 19 joint practice with New England. The current depth chart still lists him behind Dontayvion Wicks, and that's the problem for redraft. Cooper caught only nine passes for 92 yards as a rookie, while Philadelphia has plenty of other options at receiver. Still, five catches for 65 yards through two preseason games and a good camp are enough to move his stock up. He's a deeper-league name for now, with standard-league relevance dependent on climbing the depth chart.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Darius Cooper, who was singled out by quarterback Jalen Hurts earlier in training camp as an emerging player, was busy in the team's preseason opener on Saturday in the 24-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, hauling in two of his team-high five targets for 21 yards. The 24-year-old went undrafted last year out of Tarleton State before latching on with the Eagles and catching nine of 11 targets for 92 yards and zero touchdowns in 13 games played (zero starts). Cooper has had more of an opportunity in camp of late with both DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and first-round rookie Makai Lemon (hamstring) missing over a week of practice. The Eagles are also without A.J. Brown now, so there is more opportunity for Cooper to make some noise in Philly's WR room as he competes for a role behind Smith and Dontayvion Wicks. If Lemon gets off to a slow start in his rookie campaign after missing valuable time in camp, Cooper could be the primary beneficiary. He's also competing for offensive snaps with veteran Hollywood Brown.

Darius Cooper Headed for a Major Bump in Volume?
Philadelphia Eagles rookie wide receiver Darius Cooper could handle a much larger workload than usual during Sunday's Week 18 contest against the Washington Commanders. Head coach Nick Sirianni indicated that he will rest several starters on Sunday, and although he didn't specifically list which players will be resting, it's fair to speculate that wide receivers DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown could be among the group. If so, Cooper would likely step into the No. 2 wide receiver role behind Jahan Dotson. Cooper hasn't ascended higher than third on the depth chart this season, so we don't know exactly what his role would look like if he earns the start opposite Dotson. With that being said, he has flashed potential lately. He caught two passes for 29 yards on a 30% snap share in Week 15, and he caught one pass for four yards on a career-high 31% snap share just last Sunday. There's a strong chance that the 24-year-old rookie plays more than half of the snaps if Brown and Smith are sidelined, and that could give him low-end WR3/flex appeal in very deep leagues. Once the Eagles announce which starters are resting, managers could consider adding Cooper to be a desperation WR3/flex play in fantasy leagues with at least 14 teams.

Cooper also saw his offensive snap count percentage drop to below 20% for the first time since Week 11. The first-year undrafted wideout has failed to explode onto the scene, but given the talent surrounding him it was always going to be an unrealistic expectation for him to have much of a contribution. He has not carved out a real role on this offensive unit yet, and is not suited for fantasy lineups for his Week 17 game against the Bills.

His two catches for 29 yards came on Philly's last drive of the game, where Cooper got some more time to shine thanks to the starters sitting out. So, he still seems a long ways away from being a viable option in the first team, but the fact that he's getting time on the field and catching all of his targets are definitely positives for the undrafted youngster. While he's trending in the right direction, it's still not enough for him to be in fantasy lineups this week as he faces the Commanders.

The increased action allowed for Cooper to haul in his third career catch-a 19-yard gain in the fourth quarter. After failing to record any statistics through the first 10 weeks of the season, the undrafted wideout has now found himself in the box score twice in the past three weeks. While it's encouraging for him to step up a bit recently, he's still too far down the depth chart in an offense that's already not very WR-dependent. Cooper shouldn't be in fantasy lineups for his upcoming game against the Raiders, but hopefully some more chances are in store for him on the horizon.

This is the first time in his career that he's played over 20% in consecutive games. Unfortunately, Cooper came back down to earth after his two-catch outing against the Cowboys, and was unable to record any stats against Chicago. It is interesting to see the undrafted rookie get some more opportunities, and with fellow WR Jahan Dotson (toe) being limited at the last two practices, Cooper's number could be called even more this week against the Chargers. However, he'll still be behind star wideouts A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, and he has a lot more work to do to prove himself as a consistent option on this offense. Cooper is still not ready to be rostered in fantasy.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Darius Cooper recorded his first career stats this past week against the Dallas Cowboys, catching both of his targets for a total of seven yards. The undrafted rookie had his second-most snaps in a game this season, being on the field for 13 offensive plays. While these still aren't numbers that jump off the stat sheet, it does show that Cooper has the potential to see some more looks over the course of the final six games of the regular season. He's played with the first team and has some trust from Jalen Hurts. And now with DeVonta Smith on the injury report, this could be the perfect storm for Cooper to show more of what he has to offer. Hopes shouldn't get too high, as he's still not worthy of a fantasy roster spot, but it will be interesting to watch how Cooper gets involved the rest of the way.

When Philly hosted New York, Cooper played 26 snaps, being on the field for 44.1% of offensive plays. His previous highest was 12 snaps on 20% of plays back in Week 2. Cooper was also close to having the first target of his career on a third quarter pass, but the play was negated by a pass interference, stopping him from recording his first stat. Even with A.J. Brown missing the contest, Cooper was unable to get involved. He's still unworthy of a bench spot on fantasy teams.
