Inman was reverted to Washington's practice squad on Monday.
Analysis: Through his 10 games for Washington during the 2020 campaign, Inman caught 18 of his 28 targets for 163 yards and scored two touchdowns. The receiver wasn't able appear in many games after his hamstring injury. Suffering this injury affected his ability to perform after, and is likely what cost him his spot on the active roster.

Inman caught 18 of 28 targets for 163 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games for Washington during the 2020 regular season.
Analysis: Inman opened the season as the No. 3 receiver and temporarily bumped up to No. 2 after Steven Sims injured his toe. However, Inman then hurt his hamstring Week 7, catching just one pass in three appearances from that point forward. The 31-year-old played a single snap in the playoff loss to Tampa, stuck behind Terry McLaurin, Cam Sims, Steven Sims and Isaiah Wright at wide receiver. Regardless of where he ends up signing, Inman will need to battle for a roster spot in 2021, now five years removed from his 800-yard campaign for the 2016 Chargers.

Inman was elevated from Washington's practice squad Friday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Inman will provide some extra receiving depth in Saturday's playoff game against the Buccaneers. He caught 18 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns during the regular season.

Inman reverted to Washington's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Analysis: Inman logged just two snaps on offense in a crucial game against the Eagles on Sunday. The 31-year-old wideout will reside on the practice squad as depth with playoffs on deck.
Jan 5, 2021 1:22 PM EST
Inman was promoted from Washington's practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Analysis: Inman has already appeared in nine games for Washington this season, but had recently been bounced to the practice squad. Fellow wide receiver Terry McLaurin (ankle) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles, so Inman will be available to provide depth.
Jan 2, 2021 1:27 PM EST
Washington signed Inman to the practice squad Wednesday, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
Analysis: Inman was cut by the Football Team just five days ago, but as expected he's now back as a member of the practice squad. The veteran wideout will continue to provide emergency depth for Washington. In nine appearances this season, he caught 18 of 28 targets for 163 yards and two touchdowns.
Dec 30, 2020 9:19 AM EST
Inman was waived by Washington on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Inman has been a healthy scratch for each of the past two weeks, and he's attracted a limited workload of 3.1 targets per game over nine appearances on the season. The veteran wideout will now search for opportunity elsewhere, should Washington not elect to bring him back to the practice squad if he passes through waivers.
Dec 26, 2020 11:12 AM EST
Inman (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Seahawks, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Inman has failed to get his footing in Washington's offense this year, generating an 18-163-2 line over nine games. He's officially been jumped on the depth chart by the likes of Isaiah Wright, Cam Sims and Robert Foster. He could struggle to get back into the lineup next week as well if Antonio Gandy-Golden (hamstring) is activated from IR.
Dec 20, 2020 9:05 AM EST
Inman (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 14 contest against the 49ers.
Analysis: The veteran journeyman played just a combined 21 snaps over the prior two games, seeing one target over that span. Inman now serves as a healthy scratch for the first time this season, as Cam Sims, Steven Sims and Isaiah Wright have all seemingly passed him on the depth chart for the time being.
Dec 13, 2020 12:20 PM EST
Inman had no receptions in Monday's win over the Steelers.
Analysis: Inman only received 10 offensive snaps in the game, a season low for the veteran wideout. It appears as if Steven Sims and Isaiah Wright may have leapfrogged Inman on the depth chart.
Dec 8, 2020 7:48 PM EST
Inman caught a 15-yard pass on his lone target in Thursday's 41-16 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: Inman returned on Thanksgiving Day after sitting out three games with a hamstring injury. The Football Team apparently decided to ease him into action, as he played a season-low 11 snaps on offense, ranking fifth among the team's wide receivers. There wasn't much upside to go around anyway, as Alex Smith recorded just 149 passing yards. Inman will aim to be more of a factor next week against the Steelers.

Inman (hamstring) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice, Kyle Stackpole of Washington's official site reports.
Analysis: After taking every rep in practice for the first time since Nov. 4, Inman tentatively looks on track to put an end to a three-game inactive streak this week. Assuming Inman is cleared to play Thanksgiving Day against the Cowboys, he may have to settle for more of a part-time role in Washington's receiver rotation in light of the emergence of Cam Sims. In the three games Inman has missed, Sims has hauled in nine of 11 targets for 184 yards.
Nov 24, 2020 12:33 PM EST
Inman (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant on Monday's practice estimate, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Analysis: Inman logged a full practice last Friday but was ultimately inactive for Sunday's win over the Bengals. As a result, it's tough to get a grasp on how well Inman has recovered from the hamstring injury that has sidelined him for three games already. No wide receiver was able to establish himself as the No. 2 behind Terry McLaurin (ankle) this year, so Inman will have an opportunity to do so if he's able to play Thursday against a banged-up Cowboys secondary.
Nov 23, 2020 1:41 PM EST
Inman (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bengals, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Though Inman concluded the week as a full practice participant, Washington apparently wants to see the receiver log some more on-field work before clearing him for game action. He'll be sidelined for a third straight game Sunday, paving the way for both Cam Sims and Steven Sims to handle regular roles in three-receiver sets alongside top target Terry McLaurin.
Nov 22, 2020 8:49 AM EST
Inman (hamstring), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, isn't expected to play, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Inman's status won't be locked in until Washington releases its inactive list approximately 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff, but the 31-year-old looks poised to miss his third straight game. His continued absence should continue to open up a regular spot for Cam Sims in three-wide sets alongside Terry McLaurin and Steven Sims.
Nov 22, 2020 5:56 AM EST
Inman (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, after he returned to practice Friday as a full participant, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Analysis: Inman jumped straight from non-participant to full participant on Washington's official practice report, but John Keim of ESPN.com reports that the veteran wideout did some position drills Thursday. It isn't clear Inman will have a starting job or even a major role if he suits up for the first time since Week 7, as the team now has Cam Sims and Steven Sims contributing to its offense behind Terry McLaurin.
Nov 20, 2020 11:54 AM EST
Inman (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant on Thursday's practice report, Kyle Stackpole of Washington's official site reports.
Analysis: Inman has been sidelined for two games due to a hamstring injury, but the wide receiver seemed to take an appreciable step in his recovery Thursday, According to John Keim of ESPN.com, Inman participated in some drills with his fellow wide receivers. Still, Inman was given a DNP next to his name, so there's no telling whether he's drawing closer to a return.
Nov 19, 2020 10:46 AM EST
Inman (hamstring) didn't take part in Wednesday's walk-through practice, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Prior to a DNP in Week 9, Inman didn't practice in the final two sessions. Meanwhile, he followed up no reps last Wednesday with back-to-back limited showings before he was ruled out for Week 10. Consequently, there's no real sense of when Inman may be able to return to action. He may have to progress to full by week's end in order to suit up Sunday against the Bengals.
Nov 18, 2020 10:54 AM EST
Inman (hamstring) will not play Sunday in Detroit, Kyle Stackpole of Washington's official site reports.
Analysis: Cam Sims filled in for Inman the past two weeks, catching four of five targets for 132 yards while playing 88 and 74 percent of snaps on offense. It's possible Sims keeps the job even after Inman recovers from his hamstring injury, as the 24-year-old's eight targets have produced more yardage (171) than the 31-year-old's 27 targets (148) this season.
Nov 13, 2020 10:02 AM EST
Inman (hamstring) was limited at Thursday's practice, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Making his presence felt on the practice field for the first time since Week 7 prep, Inman is putting himself into a position to play for the first time since then as he recovers from a hamstring injury. Ultimately, Friday's practice report will give a sense of his ability to suit up Sunday in Detroit.
