Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Hunter Long (hip, knee) has been ruled out ahead of the Week 11 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Long was limited in practice this week, but that won't be enough to get him on the field this weekend. Long will miss his second straight game, which is bad news with Brenton Strange (quad) still sidelined. That means, Johnny Mundt and Quintin Morris will be the primary tight ends this weekend. Neither player offers viable streaming value for this Week 11 matchup.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Hunter Long (hip, knee) has been ruled out ahead of the Week 10 matchup against the Houston Texans. Long won't be able to play this weekend after missing practice time due to multiple injuries. This is a tough break for the Jags who are still without Brenton Strange (quad) right now. It looks like Johnny Mundt and Quintin Morris will fill in at the tight end spot this weekend. Neither player is worth a look as a streaming option for Week 10.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Hunter Long (hip, knee) exited during the second quarter of Sunday's Week 9 contest against the Las Vegas Raiders. He is officially listed as questionable to return. At the time of his departure, he had caught one pass for six yards. Long had seen increased opportunities recently with Brenton Strange (quadriceps) on injured reserve. With both Long and Strange now sidelined, Johnny Mundt will step up as the Jaguars' primary tight end.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Hunter Long played a season-high 80% of the offensive snaps in the Week 6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in the first game with Brenton Strange (hip) on Injured Reserve. Although Long was used more with Strange sidelined, it didn't amount to much production, as he caught only two of his three targets for 19 yards. Meanwhile, fellow TE Johnny Mundt played 39% of the snaps and caught one of two targets in the passing game for a 14-yard gain. The 27-year-old Long will continue to see more time on the field in Jacksonville's offense for as long as Strange remains out. However, for fantasy purposes, he's not going to be much more than a touchdown-dependent, low-end TE2 streamer with Mundt also contributing. Through six games so far in his first year with the Jags, Long has nine receptions on 11 targets for 63 yards and the first two touchdowns of his career in his fifth season.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Hunter Long enters Week 6 atop the depth chart after Brenton Strange (quad) was placed on injured reserve. While Long's exact volume is uncertain, he did step up and play 60 percent of the snaps after Strange went down last week, so he should definitely get involved. He also has six catches and a touchdown over his last three games, indicating that Trevor Lawrence is comfortable throwing him the football. Long ranks as a mid-to-low TE2 with some streaming appeal in deeper leagues. Fortunately for Long, he has upside given his matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, who have surrendered the most receptions and seventh-most fantasy points to tight ends in 2025.

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Hunter Long is in line for a significant increase in snaps over the coming weeks, with fellow tight end Brenton Strange (quadriceps) placed on injured reserve. Long stepped in for Strange when he got injured in Jacksonville's Week 6 win over the Chiefs, playing 60% of the snaps and catching one pass for three yards after his departure. He recorded a season-high three receptions for 23 yards in Week 4 against the 49ers and has some appeal for fantasy managers who are desperate at tight end. He'll face a Seattle defense in Week 6 that has allowed the most receptions to tight ends on the season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will spend the next month without tight end Brenton Strange (quadriceps), opening the door for fellow tight end Hunter Long to see a major increase increase in snaps heading into Week 6. The Jags placed Strange on injured reserve on Tuesday, assuring he's out through Week 9, and Long seems likely to take on significantly more snaps. When Strange departed Monday's win against Kansas City, Long played 60% of the team's offensive snaps, though it led to only one target. Managers should dial back expectations, as the fifth-year man has never been much of a fantasy asset, though he'll have an opportunity like never before as the Jags rely on him and Johnny Mundt to take on bigger roles for the four weeks.

Working in Los Angeles Rams tight end Hunter Long's favor is the fact that Tyler Higbee (knee) probably isn't going to be ready for the start of the 2024 regular season. That lone could land Long a spot on the 53-man roster to open the year if Higbee starts on the Physically Unable to Perform list. However, the Rams added Colby Parkinson in the offseason and love the potential of Davis Allen. If one of Nikola Kalinic or Neal Johnson emerges in training camp and the preseason, Long could be out of a roster spot. The 25-year-old finished last year on Injured Reserve after having surgery on his MCL but he was taking part in organized team activities this offseason and should be ready to go this fall. In just four games played in 2023, Long wasn't targeted at all while playing 54 offensive snaps for the Rams.

Los Angeles Rams tight end Hunter Long (hamstring) was ruled out for Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks. Long was sent to the Rams this offseason in the blockbuster deal for cornerback Jalen Ramsey. But Los Angeles hasn't seen much from the tight end due to multiple injuries this summer. Long spent his first two NFL seasons with the Miami Dolphins, where he has one career catch for eight yards. When he returns from his hamstring issue, he shouldn't be on fantasy radars.

Los Angeles Rams tight end Hunter Long (undisclosed) passed his physical on Saturday and has been removed from the physically unable to perform list, according to Field Yates of ESPN.com. There had been speculation that Long would open the season on the PUP list, so this transaction is quite noteworthy. The 25-year-old was acquired from the Dolphins in this offseason's Jalen Ramsey trade after playing in 16 games and catching just one pass over the course of his first two years in the NFL. He's not on the fantasy radar.
