Ginn has decided to retire from the NFL after 14 seasons, Stephen Means of Cleveland.com reports.
Analysis: Ginn Ends a successful and lengthy career after playing just six games for Bears in 2020. At the top of his game, Ginn was one of the best returners in the league, while also contributing as a deep threat on offense. Ginn finishes his career with 412 receptions for 5,742 and a touchdown along with 6,899 kick return yards and 2,624 punt return yards.

The Bears released Ginn on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Signed to a one-year, $1.19 million deal in April, Ginn played 43 percent of the offensive snaps in the Bears' season-opening win over the Lions, but he's seen his usage plummet ever since. The wideout has been inactive twice over the Bears' subsequent seven games while playing fewer than 10 percent of the offensive snaps in three other contests. The Bears weren't able to find any takers on the trade market for the 35-year-old, so he'll now be cut loose as the team prioritizes its younger depth options at receiver.

Ginn (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 8 tilt against the Saints.
Analysis: The veteran receiver will therefore be unavailable to face his former teammates in Sunday's home contest. Ginn has logged six targets through six games, and the availability of Allen Robinson (concussion) and Cordarrelle Patterson (quadriceps) appears to have played a part in saddling Ginn with his first inactive designation this season.
Nov 1, 2020 12:23 PM EST
Ginn wasn't targeted during Monday's 24-10 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: The 35-year-old played only four offensive snaps, with his most notable contribution of the evening was watching Rams' punter Johnny Hekker pinning the Bears inside their own 20-yard line on all five of his boots. Ginn has played single-digit offensive snaps in each of the past four games and clearly has no worthwhile role in the passing attack.
Oct 27, 2020 2:18 PM EST
Ginn caught two passes for 11 yards in Chicago's 19-11 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
Analysis: Although Ginn caught both of his targets, he's caught just three passes for 40 yards on the season, giving him very little fantasy value unless his role changes significantly.
Oct 4, 2020 5:47 PM EST
Ginn caught one pass for 29 yards in the Bears' 30-26 victory over the Falcons on Sunday.
Analysis: After being a healthy scratch in Week 2, Ginn was targeted three times as the Bears spent most of the game clawing back from a large deficit. Unless his role in the offense drastically increases, his fantasy value will be minimal.
Sep 27, 2020 3:19 PM EST
Ginn is inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Analysis: Ginn was on the field for nearly half the plays the Bears ran in Week 1, but he did not catch a pass, and he will not in Week either. No injury has been reported for Ginn, so he is presumably a healthy scratch for Sunday's game, and is no longer a starter like he is listed as on the Bears' depth chart.
Sep 20, 2020 8:42 AM EST
Ginn was targeted once in Chicago's 27-23 win over the Lions on Sunday.
Analysis: After joining the Bears on a free-agent deal in the off-season, Ginn saw seven of his teammates targeted more than he was. Unless he sees his role in the offense increase quickly, he'll be a difficult player to trust on fantasy rosters.
Sep 13, 2020 2:41 PM EST
Ginn and the Bears have reached an agreement on a one-year contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Ginn saw a downturn in his production last season, racking up just 30 catches for 421 yards and two touchdowns on 56 targets as part of a fairly potent New Orleans passing attack. His new landing spot in Chicago doesn't really improve his fantasy outlook given the uncertainty at quarterback and the presence of both Allen Robinson and breakout candidate Anthony Miller (shoulder) in line for targets as well.
Apr 30, 2020 10:57 AM EST
Ginn caught one of two targets for 18 yards in the Saints' 26-20 overtime loss to the Vikings on Sunday.
Analysis: Ginn came away with his usual output Sunday, making minimal contributions in the box score. Across his final six games of the year dating to Week 13 of the regular season, he recorded just one multi-catch effort.
Jan 5, 2020 5:24 PM EST
Ginn caught one of two targets for 10 yards in the Saints' 42-10 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
Analysis: It was a disappointing, yet unsurprising end of the season for Ginn. A boom-or-bust option all year, he finished his third season in New Orleans with a 30/421/2 receiving line, aided by a seven-catch, 101-yard effort in Week 1.
Dec 29, 2019 6:29 PM EST
Ginn failed to bring in his lone target in the Saints' 38-28 win over the Titans on Sunday.
Analysis: Ginn hasn't made a fantasy impact since Week 1, and Sunday's goose egg was his fourth on the season. He hasn't seen enough looks to warrant fantasy consideration outside the deepest of leagues.
Dec 22, 2019 6:53 PM EST
Ginn caught one pass for 13 yards in Monday night's 34-7 win over Indianapolis.
Analysis: Ginn saw his lowest snap count of the season with just 19. After busting out for 101 receiving yards in Week 1, the 34-year-old has not topped 50 since.
Dec 17, 2019 1:17 PM EST
Ginn corralled four of six targets for 50 yards in the Saints' 48-46 loss to the 49ers on Sunday.
Analysis: Ginn had one of his better games of the season, finishing behind Michael Thomas (134) and Jared Cook (64) in receiving yards as he hit the half-century mark. It should be noted that 29 yards of the final receiving total came on a busted play in the fourth quarter where Ginn was left open in the confusion caused by Richard Sherman heading to the sideline. That reception aside, Ginn caught three passes for 21 yards -- not an encouraging figure. He remains a highly-volatile option, and one who should confidently remain on benches or the waiver wire outside of deep leagues.
Dec 8, 2019 7:15 PM EST
Ginn was unable to bring in his only target of Thursday's 26-18 win over Atlanta.
Analysis: Sunday marked the second time in his past four games that Ginn was held catchless and his single target was his lowest total since Week 10 of 2017. The veteran target has struggled to find momentum this season. He went off for 101 yards in Week 1, but hasn't reached 50 yards since as tight end Jared Cook and running back Alvin Kamara have served as the most prominent secondary options behind Michael Thomas in the passing game. Sunday doesn't look much rosier with a date against the league's top-ranked pass defense, San Francisco.
Dec 3, 2019 5:39 PM EST
Ginn corralled two of five targets for 38 yards in the Saints' 34-31 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
Analysis: It was more of the same for the veteran wideout in Sunday's win, as the deep-threat failed to make an impact, even with a combined 67 points scored. He's failed to eclipse 50 receiving yards since Week 1 and scored just twice all year. Even in favorable matchups, such as Sunday's shootout with Carolina, he's more bust than boom.
Nov 24, 2019 6:44 PM EST
Ginn hauled in two of four targets for 14 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' 34-17 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: The veteran speedster made good use of his limited opportunities, notching a six-yard scoring grab on one of his two receptions. Ginn has no more than three catches in any game since Week 1, while his touchdown was only his second of the season. Ginn does have seven receptions of at least 20 yards on just 22 total grabs, however, so he carries some big-play upside into a Week 12 matchup against the Panthers.
Nov 17, 2019 3:33 PM EST
Ginn corralled two of six targets for 37 yards, adding a 12-yard carry in the Saints' 13-6 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
Analysis: It was an inefficient night for the speedy wideout, who brought in only two of his six looks. Ginn had a huge Week 1 performance, but the boom-or-bust receiver has been almost exclusively bust since then. Unless he's coming up with a big play or getting into the end zone, Ginn's fantasy value is minimal.
Oct 13, 2019 7:27 PM EST
Ginn brought in both of his targets for 35 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' 31-24 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also rushed once for one yard.
Analysis: Ginn made good use of his limited opportunity. hauling in a pretty Teddy Bridgewater pass down the middle for a 33-yard score early in the third quarter, the veteran speedster's first touchdown of the season. Ginn has seen his targets dwindle since logging seven in the opener versus the Texans, but perhaps Sunday's showing will serve as a launching pad for a return to better production. The veteran will look to build up his numbers across the board versus the Jaguars in Week 6.
Oct 6, 2019 2:28 PM EST
Ginn caught three of five targets for 19 yards in the Saints' 12-10 win over the Cowboys on Sunday.
Analysis: Ginn once again couldn't do much with his opportunities, going for only 19 yards in the win. A bobbled pass intended for Ginn was the source of Teddy Bridgewater's lone interception in the contest. After a huge Week 1 performance, the boom-or-bust Ginn has been all bust. He can be left on the waiver wire in all but the deepest of leagues.
