Peterson has been serviceable even at 35 years old, and after RB Derrius Guice was released it all but seemed to be Peterson’s job once again. Peterson wasn’t a free agent long, signing a one year deal with the Detroit Lions. Firstly, this means that Washington saw something in rookie Antonio Gibson (and maybe Bryce Love?). Gibson could be a huge fantasy asset. Second, this means that Detroit is not happy with their RB depth. Deandre Swift and Kerryon Johnson are both banged up, so Peterson could see a big role for the time being.
