Roster sizes were cut to 53 players, meaning many trades and cuts were made in order to ensure all criteria was met for each team. There was a ton of news in a short amount of time this past week, so let’s recap a bit of what happened so you are prepared for that first week of fantasy football.
Surprising Cuts and Signings
We have to start with probably the most surprising news of the week: the surprise cut of Bills running back LeSean McCoy. No one saw that coming, not even McCoy. That being said, McCoy signed almost immediately with the Kansas City Chiefs. McCoy has a history with Coach Reid, so it wouldn’t be crazy to think that McCoy will have a large part of that offense. It’s been awhile since McCoy was a top back, but he still has the talent to usurp Damien Williams. He should be rostered in all leagues and is probably in a better situation than he would have been on the Bills. Rookie Devin Singletary will probably lead the Bills’ backfield. Kudos to those who took a shot on him.
