Injury Update – Week 8

Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints

After sustaining a thumb injury in Week 2, Drew Brees said himself, “the plan” is to play this Sunday against Arizona. Head coach Sean Payton backtracked a little bit saying, Brees will be the starter “if he’s ready to play”. Undergoing thumb surgery five weeks ago, most expected Brees to miss between 4-6 weeks. Now five weeks removed from the injury, Brees looks like a legitimate game time decision for Sunday.
