Elijah Mitchell – Running Back - San Francisco 49ers (2% owned) It took all of a few plays to take out Raheem Mostert, and because Trey Sermon was a surprise healthy scratch, it was up to Elijah Mitchell to handle the workload. And he did so wonderfully. Mitchell carried the ball 19 times for 104 yards and 1 touchdown, destroying the Lions’ defense. So a few things here. First off, we don’t really know the extent of Mostert’s injury. He was on the sidelines the rest of the game, so it doesn’t appear to be anything serious. Second, the highly hyped-up rookie Sermon was scratched because head coach Kyle Shanahan felt that he was behind Mostert, Mitchell, and JaMycal Hasty on the depth chart. That bodes very well for Mitchell. Mostert is often injured, and Mitchell showed that he can carry the workload. Even if Mostert returns next week, Mitchell should see meaningful carries. He should be added in all leagues. FAAB: $15
