Week 2 Waiver Wire Gems

Let’s look at some players worth taking a shot on if you think the risk is worth the potential reward.

Marquise Brown – WR Baltimore Ravens (32% owned)

There were a ton of rookies who had massive week one performances, but Marquise Brown’s was probably the most intriguing.  Brown caught 4 passes on 5 targets for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns. We knew he was fast, but he showed how fast he truly was, burning past Miami defenders for two long touchdowns.  QB Lamar Jackson actually looked like a capable thrower, making this look even more of a safe bet. The biggest risk here is that Brown faced the worst defense in the league and only played 12 snaps.  If his snap count doesn’t go up, he could be wildly inconsistent. Or he could be the next Tyreek Hill. Whatever he becomes, for now, he should be owned in all leagues.
