A.J. Brown Won't Require Ankle Surgery

Sunday, September 13, 8:45 AM

New England Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown (ankle) is expected to miss the next four to six weeks, but he won't require surgery on his ankle, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. Brown suffered the injury during Wednesday's season opener against the Seattle Seahawks. He was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain, and the current timeline for recovery suggests that he may end up on injured reserve. However, it's encouraging that he won't need surgery. New England only got three catches for 26 yards from its flashy offseason addition before he exited Week 1. Once he returns to action, he'll rank as a low-end WR1 in fantasy football while serving as quarterback Drake Maye's favorite target. In the meantime, Romeo Doubs, Kyle Williams, and DeMario Douglas will take on bigger roles in the passing game.

Amon-Ra St. Brown News

Amon-Ra St. Brown Posts Another Monster Game in Week 2

Friday, September 18, 5:25 AM

Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was one of the lone bright spots in his team's 41-31 Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills, recording nine catches for 142 yards and two touchdowns on 13 targets. St. Brown has gotten off to a fantastic start to the season, hauling in 19 receptions for 209 yards and four touchdowns on 27 targets across Detroit's first two games. The 26-year-old has been a highly reliable wide receiver for fantasy managers for a number of years now, posting three consecutive seasons with at least 115 catches, 1,250 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns coming into 2026. Still, he could be poised for a career season from a production perspective if the Lions' defense continues to struggle as mightily as it has through the first two weeks. Heading into Detroit's Week 3 matchup against the New York Jets, St. Brown profiles as a high-end fantasy WR1.
