Is Aaron Rodgers a Streaming Option Going Forward?

Tuesday, October 7, 6:23 PM

Through the first four weeks of the season, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was the QB16 in fantasy with eight passing touchdowns and three interceptions while leading his new team to a 3-1 record. Although his most prolific outing came in the season opener, Rodgers finished as a top-24 fantasy option in each of his games. He'll now return from a Week 5 bye to face the division-rival Cleveland Browns in Week 6. Despite their 1-4 record, Cleveland has been stout defensively, limiting opposing quarterbacks to 15 fantasy points per contest. Rodgers can be added and started in favorable matchups, but he's not an ideal streaming candidate this week. The 41-year-old checks in as QB27 in RotoBaller's Week 6 rankings.

Mac Jones at Thursday's Practice, Doesn't Do Much Throwing

Thursday, October 9, 5:51 PM

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones (knee, oblique) was in uniform again for Thursday's practice, but he didn't do much throwing during individual periods in the early portion that was open to the media, according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN. Wagoner added that Jones really didn't do anything behind soft tossing on Thursday. The 27-year-old came out of last Thursday night's upset win over the Los Angeles Rams pretty banged up, but the Niners think he should be OK to make a fourth start in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brock Purdy (toe) has yet to practice this week and looks to be on track to miss his fourth game of the year after aggravating his turf-toe injury in Week 4. Jones will likely be listed as limited in practice for the second straight day, but he should be good to go this weekend. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect an encore against Tampa after Jones cooked against L.A.'s defense in Week 5.
