According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) hopes to return in time for the postseason, assuming the team makes it that far. The veteran signal-caller, who was traded to New York during the offseason, ruptured his Achilles only four snaps into his tenure with the Jets. However, after it appeared all was lost, Rodgers underwent an "innovative" procedure on Wednesday known as a "Speed Bridge," performed by "renowned orthopedic surgeon" Dr. Neal ElAttrache. While the news doesn't mean much for fantasy managers regarding the 2023-24 campaign, it likely means that Rodgers isn't planning on calling it quits anytime soon. It's also a good sign concerning his availability for OTAs and training camp next offseason. For now, Zach Wilson is expected to handle things under center moving ahead.

Veteran quarterback P.J. Walker is now looking for a new team after being cut by the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The 28-year-old was brought in on a two-year contract during the offseason to backup Justin Fields but he struggled in training camp. The Bears opted to keep undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent and veteran Nathan Peterman instead. Walker played the last three seasons with the Carolina Panthers, where he compiled a 4-3 record in seven starts.
