Aaron Rodgers Wants to Give Jaylen Warren More Opportunities in the Passing Game

Wednesday, September 17, 9:17 AM

Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reported on Wednesday that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback spoke highly of Jaylen Warren, saying that "We might have to keep giving (Warren) him more opportunities in the pass game, because every time he touches it, something good happens." Warren has always been a solid fantasy asset in the passing game in his career, with 133 receptions in four NFL seasons; however, last Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, he was very productive through the air, hauling in all four of his targets for 86 yards, for a total of 134 all-purpose yards on 18 touches (14 on the ground and four through the air), This is an excellent sign for Warren fantasy owners, as rookie third round pick, Kaleb Johnson, does not appear to be getting any opportunities of the backfield. His only other competition for opportunities is Kenneth Gainwell, who went from a 54% snap share in Week 1 to a 42% snap share in Week 2. Warren should be considered a solid RB2 heading into Week 3 against the New England Patriots.

RJ Harvey an "Important Piece" of Broncos Offense

Wednesday, September 17, 8:33 PM

Denver Broncos rookie second-round running back RJ Harvey is "an important piece of what we're doing," according to head coach Sean Payton. That may be true, and Harvey could see his role grow as the season progresses, but right now, his fantasy value is capped with J.K. Dobbins serving as the RB1 in Denver. Harvey was out-touched 15-6 by Harvey in the Week 2 loss to the Indianapolis Colts and finished with only five carries for eight yards (1.6 yards per tote) while adding one catch for a nice 16-yard gain. In the season-opening win over the Tennessee Titans, the UCF product had six carries for 70 yards and one reception for a loss of a yard. The 24-year-old is slippery with plenty of big-play potential, but right now, he's merely an RB3/flex for fantasy managers with a low floor and ceiling. Harvey and the Broncos also have a difficult upcoming divisional tilt against the 2-0 Los Angeles Chargers on the road this Sunday.
