Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton could be in line to make the start for his team in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks. Starting signal-caller Bryce Young (ankle) has not practiced all week due to an ankle injury and is "unlikely to play" on Sunday, according to the team. Dalton has been practicing with the first team this week and would draw a plus matchup against a Seattle defense that is allowing the 11th-most fantasy points per game to opposing QBs through the first two games. Dalton was serviceable for the New Orleans Saints in 2022, throwing for 2,871 yards, 18 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in 14 games started. Dalton is on the radar as a QB3 in fantasy and is worth a speculative add for gamers who play in two-quarterback formats.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Matt Barkley (elbow) was waived from Injured Reserve with an injury settlement. The veteran QB injured his right elbow during the preseason, and the Bills decided to release him with an injury settlement, as opposed to keeping him on IR for the rest of the year. Depending on the severity of his elbow injury, Barkley should be able to find a home elsewhere as a backup or third-stringer.
