Brian Hoyer Extends Losing Streak

Sunday, October 22, 4:46 PM

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Brian Hoyer completed 17 of 32 passes (53%) for 129 yards and two interceptions in the Week 7 loss to the Chicago Bears. Hoyer, filling in for injured Jimmy Garoppolo, struggled to get the offense going at Soldier Field. The veteran quarterback had zero passing touchdowns and was sacked once. Hoyer has now lost 13 straight starts dating back to 2016. The Raiders got down big in this contest and eventually placed rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell in the game. O'Connell threw the only touchdown of the game for the Raiders in the fourth quarter. The Raiders take on the Detroit Lions in Week 8. The Lions have been middling against quarterbacks this season. Hoyer had a bad game, and it will be hard to trust him as a starter if Garoppolo misses more time. Fantasy managers should stay away from Hoyer regardless of the matchup.

Kenny Pickett Won't Return In Week 13

Sunday, December 3, 3:09 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game versus the Washington Commanders. He finishes Week 13 having completed eight of 11 attempts for 75 passing yards. He also rushed three times, picking up one yard on the ground. Mitch Trubisky will quarterback Pittsburgh the rest of the way. Fantasy managers should monitor this situation; the Steelers face the Patriots on Thursday, giving Pickett very little time to recover before his next game.
