The Carolina Panthers are "bullish" on wide receiver Brycen Tremayne, according to Joseph Person of The Athletic. Tremayne went undrafted out of Stanford in 2023 and appeared in two games for the Washington Commanders in 2024, but he was able to crack Carolina's 53-man roster out of training camp. The Panthers traded veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen to the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday, so Tremayne could now be one of the players Carolina calls upon to replace Thielen's production. The 25-year-old will open the season behind Tetairoa McMillan, Jalen Coker, and Xavier Legette in the team's wide receiver pecking order, leaving him to battle with David Moore and Jimmy Horn Jr. for the WR4 role in Carolina.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley was dominant, hauling in five receptions for 73 yards and two touchdowns in the 31-17 win against the Washington Commanders. It was the Tinsley show against his former team, scoring touchdowns from 21 yards and 13 yards, thrown by backup quarterback Jake Browning.
