Christian Kirk Ruled Out for Week 9 With Meniscus Injury, Surgery Possible

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Christian Kirk (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 9 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders after injuring his meniscus during Thursday's practice, according to David Lombardi. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said the team has not determined whether surgery will be necessary and did not confirm a tear. Kirk was limited Wednesday before missing Thursday's practice. The 29-year-old made his season debut against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7 after missing six games with a calf injury, playing 20 offensive snaps without drawing a target.
