Dalton Schultz News

Dalton Schultz a Priority Tight End Streamer Following Heavy Week 1 Involvement

Tuesday, September 15, 12:37 PM

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz was a featured piece in his team's passing game in Week 1, recording four catches for 35 yards on eight targets in Houston's 36-31 loss to the Buffalo Bills. While Schultz's lack of downfield ability limits his fantasy upside, he averaged over six targets per game in 2025 and scored double-digit PPR points in eight out of 12 contests after Houston's Week 6 bye. With Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins (knee) out for the season after suffering a torn ACL in training camp, Schultz could end up being the number two option in the Houston passing game behind star wideout Nico Collins. The veteran Schultz also has a favorable matchup on paper in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, who were one of the worst defenses against tight ends last season. In leagues where he's available on the waiver wire, Schultz profiles as a priority tight end streamer.

AJ Barner News

AJ Barner Limited to Two Receptions in Week 1

Thursday, September 10, 5:37 AM

Seattle Seahawks tight end AJ Barner (oblique) caught two passes for 13 yards in Week 1 against the New England Patriots. Barner was kept in check all night, with the Seahawks' offense struggling to move the ball at times. Barner entered the season with a path to a serious breakout after scoring six touchdowns and finishing as the TE14 in 2025. That path still exists and should begin to unfold as the Seahawks' offense finds its footing. With quarterback Sam Darnold (hip) sidelined in Week 1, it is unclear who will be under center next week. However, quarterback Drew Lock is a capable backup, and he should not affect Barner's ability to produce. For now, Barner is still best viewed as a TE. He can still emerge as the season wears on, but we will need to monitor his usage, particularly in the red zone. Expect better production when Seattle visits Arizona in Week 2.
