Darnell Mooney a Big Play Threat Against Commanders

Saturday, September 27, 10:58 AM

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Darnell Mooney did not practice Friday, but it was a rest day for the veteran receiver, not injury-related. Mooney led the team in targets in Week 3 with 11, but was only able to turn it into four catches for 44 scoreless yards. The 27-year-old likely won't garner double-digit targets again this week, but the good news is that he'll take on the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Tre Tucker was able to produce eight catches for 145 yards and three touchdowns in this matchup last week, and the speedy Mooney could do similar damage downfield. The 5-foot-11 wideout owned the highest aDOT on the team in 2024 of 12.3 (Drake London was second with 10.8) and also had the most plays of 20 yards or more with 21 (London had 12). Hopefully Michael Penix Jr. will rebound from his poor showing last week and can feed his receivers the ball. That could be a tall order, though, and Mooney shapes up as a WR4/Flex play with some upside in Week 4.

Rome Odunze News

Rome Odunze in Smash Spot Against Las Vegas

Saturday, September 27, 12:07 PM

Chicago Bears wideout Rome Odunze gets a homecoming matchup this week in Las Vegas, where he grew up. The second-year receiver is off to a blazing start, catching 16 of 27 targets for 227 yards and a league-leading four touchdowns. He's established himself as Chicago's WR1, logging a 95% snap share and running a route on 100% of dropbacks. Odunze now draws a favorable matchup against a Raiders defense that has surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers in 2025. Big plays have already burned this secondary, with Terry McLaurin, Kayshon Boutte, and Quentin Johnston all finding success. In a game projected to feature plenty of scoring, Odunze profiles as a low-end WR1 for Week 4.
