Miami Dolphins tight end Darren Waller (pectoral) suffered a pectoral injury during Week 7's loss to the Cleveland Browns and was placed on Injured Reserve, but he had his 21-day practice window opened this week. Waller was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, and it's possible that he could play in Week 13 against the New Orleans Saints, though it's more likely that he will need more time. The 33-year-old was impactful in four games for the Dolphins this season, catching 10 of his 12 targets for 117 yards and four touchdowns. The veteran tight end's status will be updated on Thursday and Friday. If Waller isn't activated from IR, Greg Dulcich will remain Miami's top tight end option for Week 13.

Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland hauled in four of five targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in the 31-28 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Loveland has emerged as a key contributor in this Bears' passing attack, totaling 40 or more yards in four straight weeks. However, veteran Cole Kmet remains a factor, splitting the snaps evenly in Week 12 (65%). While Loveland is showcasing his potential, the Bears are the fifth-most run-heavy team in the NFL, and have seven receivers who have 195 yards or more on the season. Loveland faces a tough matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, who have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to tight ends this season. With a crowded receiving room and a tough matchup, Loveland is a risky start in Week 13.
