Darren Waller a Red-Zone Threat in Week 3

Carolina Panthers tight end Darren Waller is a touchdown threat in Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns. Waller's receiving volume figures to stay low, but if you are in dire need of a start at the position, Waller could deliver. The Panthers should find themselves in scoring position often on Sunday, and the team clearly wants to get Waller heavily involved around the goal line. He scored two touchdowns in Week 2 and had a touchdown called back due to a penalty in Week 1. Waller has yet to earn more than three targets in a game this season, so he is very touchdown-dependent. However, he is about as good a bet as anyone to score a touchdown in Week 3. Additionally, Cleveland has allowed at least 8.8 fantasy points to the opposing team's starting tight end in each game this season. If you are struggling with poor play at tight end, Waller could provide streaming value this week.

Terrance Ferguson Sits on the TE1 Borderline in Week 3

Los Angeles Rams tight end Terrance Ferguson went from one target in the opener to nine against the Giants last week, catching six passes for 54 yards and a touchdown. Puka Nacua (hip) was out for that game and is doubtful for Sunday night against Denver, so Ferguson could again have a larger place in the passing game behind Davante Adams. There is still some uncertainty here. One productive week is not a big sample, and Colby Parkinson (knee) is questionable rather than ruled out. Ferguson himself has no game designation after opening the week limited by an ankle injury and practicing fully Thursday and Friday. RotoBaller has him at TE13 for Week 3, which puts him right around the starting line in most leagues. Managers who are streaming the position can reasonably use Ferguson if Nacua sits, while anyone with a more established tight end does not need to chase last week's touchdown.
