Buffalo Bills running back Darrynton Evans rushed nine times for 65 yards in Saturday's 24-21 preseason win over the Chicago Bears. The 25-year-old created a highlight play on a slick, tackle-busting 35-yard sprint to start the fourth quarter with a bang. Evans nicely capped off a fairly productive preseason, where he took 21 attempts for 108 yards through three games. Ty Johnson handled 11 carries for 46 yards in this one after signing with the Bills earlier in the week. Assuming Buffalo only retains four RBs heading into the regular season, it likely comes down to either Evans or Johnson for the fourth-string spot. Fantasy managers shouldn't be concerned about the status of either back in upcoming drafts.

Indianapolis Colts running back Trey Sermon rushed five times for 17 yards and caught one of his two targets for four yards in the win over the Baltimore Ravens. It was a decent showing in his first game with the Colts, especially considering he was signed to the team's practice squad just five days before the game. That said, Zack Moss is the clear lead running back in Indianapolis, at least until Jonathan Taylor (ankle) returns as soon as Week 5. Sermon likely won't be a fantasy football factor this season.
