Davante Adams Will Not Practice on Tuesday, Not Ruled Out for Week 16

Tuesday, December 16, 11:50 AM

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said that wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) will not practice on Tuesday but has not yet been ruled out for the team's Week 16 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, per ESPN's Sarah Bishop. Adams suffered a hamstring injury that forced him to exit early from the Rams' Week 15 win over the Detroit Lions. Given the short turnaround, Adams may be trending towards missing his team's crucial Week 16 matchup against Seattle that may decide which team gets the number one seed in the NFC playoffs. Across 14 games this season, the 32-year-old has hauled in 60 receptions for 789 yards and 14 touchdowns on 114 targets. If he is sidelined, Rams wideouts Konata Mumpfield and Tutu Atwell could see an increase in playing time. Star Los Angeles wide receiver Puka Nacua would likely be in line for an even larger target share in Week 16.

Justin Jefferson Held To Two Catches At Dallas

Monday, December 15, 8:07 AM

For the second straight week, the Minnesota Vikings put together an excellent offensive day with modest output from wide receiver Justin Jefferson, who was held to only two catches in his team's 34-26 victory against the Dallas Cowboys. The Vikings targeted Jefferson a team-high eight times, but the result was two catches for 22 yards. It was a hard-luck night for Jefferson, who caught a touchdown from quarterback J.J. McCarthy that was negated by an illegal formation penalty in the first half, missed out on a would-have-been big play when McCarthy overthrew him in the fourth quarter, and then dropped a touchdown later on the same drive. Managers who survived into Week 16 will see Jefferson in a favorable setting against the New York Giants, yet with just six catches in the past three games, it's getting more and more difficult to trust Minnesota's offense to get Jefferson the ball.
