De'Von Achane Remains a Top Running Back Play in Week 17

Saturday, December 27, 7:36 AM

Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane is once again a top-ten starting option this week as his team hosts the Bucs. Rookie Quinn Ewers will make his second straight start at quarterback for Miami, and last week Achane had 81 rushing yards and nine receiving yards in support of the rookie in the team's 45-21 loss to the Bengals. Achane had one touchdown, giving him 12 scores on the season, and he's already up to 1,267 rushing yards and 459 receiving yards with two games to play. The Bucs have been a fairly neutral matchup for running backs this season, giving up 14 RB touchdowns in 15 games with an average of 53.6 receiving yards out of the backfield for the position. Achane is the No. 7 RB in the RotoBaller Week 17 rankings, making him a strong start in most standard-sized leagues, since he's been a fantasy stalwart despite his team's struggles this season.

TreVeyon Henderson Poised to Feast if Active in Week 17

Saturday, December 27, 8:44 AM

New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson (concussion) could feast in a very favorable Week 17 matchup against the New York Jets, but only if he's active. The rookie entered concussion protocol during last Sunday's win over the Baltimore Ravens, and although he has progressed through the five-stage protocol very quickly, he still hasn't officially been cleared to play. As a result, he is listed as questionable to play on Sunday. If Henderson ends up being cleared, he should operate as a strong RB1 option in fantasy football. He had 161 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns in his last healthy game, and this week, he faces off against a Jets defense that has allowed the most touchdowns and the third-most fantasy points to opposing running backs in 2025. In his last game against the Jets, when Rhamondre Stevenson was inactive, Henderson amassed 62 rushing yards, 31 receiving yards, and three touchdowns. Stevenson may eat into his workload slightly this week, but if Henderson is active, he'll be the team's most productive option out of the backfield. The rookie should rank as a top-12 fantasy running back if active.
