New York Giants running back Devin Singletary is expected to step into the RB2 role following Tyrone Tracy Jr.'s shoulder injury. Singletary saw limited work in Week 3, carrying four times for 11 yards in the Giants' 22-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Tracy is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a dislocated shoulder, leaving veteran Singletary as the primary backup. Rookie Cam Skattebo has firmly established himself as the Giants' lead back, racking up 180 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns on 29 touches over the last two games. That means Singletary will serve as the team's RB2 until Tracy returns to action. For fantasy purposes, Singletary has relevance as insurance, but he's not a viable starting option in any format unless injuries push him into a larger role.

Indianapolis Colts running back Tyler Goodson (elbow) will be active for the first time this season when his team visits the Titans in Week 3. Goodson is expected to compete with DJ Giddens for work behind Jonathan Taylor, although Taylor played 93% of the team's snaps in Week 2 and will stay the focal point of the offense. Goodson could work his way into a meaningful role as a deep-league flier or a handcuff to Taylor if he can pass up Giddens, who got some work in Week 1 in a lopsided win, but didn't get a touch in Week 2 against the Broncos. Keep an eye on how any work is divided between the backups, or if Taylor just features full-time.
