DeVonta Smith Trying to Maintain Consistency in Week 10

Friday, November 7, 10:48 PM

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith has tallied at least nine targets and over 80 receiving yards in three of his last four games as he heads into Monday Night Football versus the Packers this week. Smith has actually garnered more receiving yards and receptions than fellow star WR A.J. Brown this season, even without counting the one game Smith played in that Brown missed. However, to illustrate his boom-or-bust nature, taking away his two best outings this season plummets Smith's yards per game from 73.5 to 48.5. Green Bay is in the middle of the pack, giving up the 16th-most fantasy points to WRs this year, so it comes down to a matter of what version of DeVonta Smith managers will see in Week 10. His recent play has been enough to warrant him a WR2 spot for now.

Rashod Bateman is a Boom or Bust Flex Option in Week 10

Saturday, November 8, 10:11 AM

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman has been one of the biggest boom-or-bust options throughout his career, next to maybe Jameson Williams. So far this season, Bateman has one finish above a WR3 and finished just inside WR3 territory in half-PPR formats in Week 9. His ceiling is much higher with Lamar Jackson under center, but he's only amassed 29 targets so far this season and has turned that into 15 catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns. The Minnesota Vikings are currently ranked as the eighth-toughest defense against receiver groups, but they've been very vulnerable the last three weeks. That gives Bateman some flex appeal, but only in deeper leagues.
