San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy had his best fantasy day of the year in Thursday night's 30-12 victory over the New York Giants. He was 25-for-37 for 310 yards passing, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. The former "Mr. Irrelevant" of the 2022 draft has continued making the moniker itself irrelevant, winning his 11th consecutive game tonight. Purdy handled the absence of receiver Brandon Aiyuk without missing a beat, spreading targets all around, including getting Aiyuk substitutes Jauan Jennings and rookie Ronnie Bell involved. Early in the game, Purdy got away with a couple of risky throw decisions and while New York's defense did a commendable job bringing pressure, he consistently hung in and made tough throws. Purdy will take on the Arizona Cardinals at home in Week 4, where he'll be a worthy play in standard leagues.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will look to continue his winning ways when he leads his offense against the New York Giants on Thursday night. Purdy is coming off a competent, if imperfect performance. In Week 2, he was 17-of-25 for 206 yards passing and no touchdowns or interceptions. He also made some inaccurate throws that limited his fantasy day though he did score on a quarterback sneak. The Giants' defense, who are league-worst in points allowed per game, have had most of that damage done on the ground. Their pass defense has been surprisingly competent statistically, ranking 9th in the league in yards per game. However, half of that sample was accumulated in last week's game against Arizona's fill-in quarterback Joshua Dobbs. Purdy is again on the QB1/QB2 border with this week's favorable matchup.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy put together a workmanlike showing in Sunday's 30-23 win against the Rams in Los Angeles. With his arm Purdy had a modest day, completing 17-of-25 passes for 206 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions. However, he salvaged his fantasy day with a one-yard touchdown run on a quarterback sneak just before halftime. A popular streamer this week, Purdy missed at least a couple of chances for a bigger day, including overthrowing receiver Deebo Samuel on a wide-open deep shot. Purdy will look to extend his career-long unbeaten streak in Thursday night's home opener, where he'll face a New York Giants defense that just allowed four offensive touchdowns to a rebuilding Arizona Cardinals offense. He'll remain near the QB1/QB2 border for that one.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy completed 65.5% of his 29 attempts for 220 yards and two touchdowns in a 30-7 Week 1 win at the Pittsburgh Steelers. Purdy, who still hasn't lost a game in which he has taken the majority of snaps, did not throw any interceptions in the contest and even rushed for 20 yards. In Week 2 he'll travel to Los Angeles to take on Aaron Donald and the Rams defense, who raised eyebrows last week by holding Seattle quarterback Geno Smith to 112 yards passing and one touchdown. Regardless of last week's performance, most analysts will still place the Rams' defense near the bottom of the league until they build a bigger body of work. For his part, Purdy is starting to build quite a bit of fantasy buzz. Purdy checks in this week on the QB1/QB2 border and is an excellent option for quarterback streamers.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy led his team to a Week 1 victory at the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Purdy completed 19-of-29 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns. He also added three carries for 20 yards but lost a fumble. Both of his touchdowns were thrown to wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, one of which was a wide-open gimme after cornerback Patrick Peterson slipped. The other was a nicely placed ball for which Aiyuk out-maneuvered Peterson along the sideline. With this productive outing, Purdy may be building a case for rosterability in one-quarterback leagues. Next up for Purdy is a Week 2 matchup at the Los Angeles Rams, whose defense looked surprisingly good against Seattle's passing attack this week.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will look to continue his undefeated streak as a starter at the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. In 2022 Purdy rattled off seven straight wins when then-starter Jimmy Garoppolo went down with a foot injury. This year he figures to be a better real-life quarterback than in fantasy, where his ceiling is capped by his lack of rushing skills and mediocre arm strength. Purdy could occasionally run into useful fantasy performances, but he'll mostly be relying on his playmakers to run for touchdowns after the catch. Against an improved Steelers defense, Purdy is worth a shot as a low-end QB2 in superflex formats but there are probably better options in the free-agent pool if you need someone this week in one-quarterback leagues.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy ran the ball for a touchdown on his lone carry in the 49ers' 23-12 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday night. On the play, Purdy scrambled to his left, held the safety with a pump fake, and jogged in untouched. With his arm, Purdy completed five of nine passes for 73 yards. In two preseason appearances, Purdy has looked every bit like the quarterback who propelled San Francisco to the NFC Championship game in 2022 before injuring his elbow. Friday's rushing touchdown notwithstanding, Purdy isn't expected to contribute to fantasy lineups with his legs. As a result, he's probably best left undrafted, except in superflex formats.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (elbow) drew the preseason start and moved the ball effectively in the opening drive of the 49ers 21-20 win against the Denver Broncos on Saturday night. He completed four out of five passes for 65 yards in the brief appearance. The drive fizzled out and ended in a field goal, but fantasy managers will be happy to see Purdy pick up where he left off in 2022, when he won the starting job and led San Francisco to the NFC Championship game. He left that game with an elbow injury that required offseason surgery, so it was good to see Purdy fully healthy and sharp. As successful as he was last year, Purdy is not likely to put up startable fantasy numbers. He's better left undrafted, except in two-quarterback leagues.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (elbow) is expected to play against the Denver Broncos on Saturday in the team's second preseason game. Purdy suffered a torn UCL in the team's NFC Championship loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and his status has been uncertain all offseason. Now, it looks like he's ready to give it a go and will be the team's Week 1 starter. Although his lack of rushing upside limits his ceiling for fantasy football, he could have plenty of boom weeks surrounded by Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that quarterback Brock Purdy (elbow) and the starting offense could play a series or two on Saturday in the second preseason game against the Denver Broncos. Sam Darnold will get the rest of the first half, with Trey Lance going in the second half this weekend. Purdy is no longer restricted from practicing on back-to-back days in training camp and could see his first preseason action against Denver on Saturday. The 23-year-old continues to improve after having offseason surgery on his right elbow, and all signs point to him being the team's starter under center when Week 1 rolls around. Purdy surprised most folks in his rookie season and led the Niners to the NFC Championship in his first NFL campaign. Fantasy managers should have him ranked as a low-end QB2 with limited upside heading into his sophomore season.
