Andrei Iosivas Heading to IR with Thumb Injury
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas (thumb) tore a ligament in his thumb and will be placed on injured reserve, meaning he will miss at least the next four games. Head coach Zac Taylor told the media that the fourth-year receiver will return at some point this season, but his absence should serve to funnel even more of the offense through Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Through two games, Iosivas has been the only other wide receiver on the roster to see more than two targets, though he has turned those opportunities into only 19 total yards. The third spot in three-receiver sets could now see a rotation between fourth-round rookie Colbie Young and former CFL star Dohnte Meyers, but the passing offense will continue to run through Chase and Higgins, with running back Chase Brown also likely to see an uptick in targets.

Andrei Iosivas Remains WR3 For Bengals in Week 2 at Texans
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas remains the WR3 for quarterback Joe Burrow, but he has a lot of competition for targets heading into a Week 2 road matchup against the Houston Texans. In a Week 1 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Iosivas saw three targets and recorded two receptions for just 12 yards. He was behind in targets to tight end Mike Gesicki (seven), running back Chase Brown (six), and fellow wideouts Tee Higgins (six) and Ja'Marr Chase (four), but he had identical production to Chase. Iosivas played 39 offensive snaps, which was the third-most among Cincinnati wide receivers, behind Chase (60) and Higgins (46). Iosivas played 59.3% of his snaps in the slot, and 40.7% on snaps out wide in Week 1. He is projected to score 4.0 points against the Texans and checks in as RotoBaller's No. 91 wide receiver for Week 2, indicating he is safe to leave on the waiver wire and out of lineups.

Andrei Iosivas Tough to Trust Despite Favorable Matchup
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas opens the year as a starter, but that still does not make him easy to trust in fantasy. Cincinnati lists him with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, and Tampa Bay was vulnerable through the air last season, allowing 4,049 net passing yards and 30 passing touchdowns. The matchup is not the problem. The targets are. Iosivas saw 58 targets in 17 games last year and turned them into 33 catches for 435 yards and two touchdowns. Chase and Higgins are both on track to play, so it is hard to project much more than a handful of opportunities unless Cincinnati gets Iosivas involved near the goal line or the game turns pass-heavy. RotoBaller has him at WR81 in its Saturday update. That puts him well outside normal starting range. Managers in deeper leagues can take a shot if they need a receiver from a strong passing offense, but Iosivas is better left on the bench in most formats for Week 1.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas is still holding onto the No. 3 job, but the players behind him made that spot feel a little less comfortable this summer. Iosivas caught 33 passes for 435 yards and two touchdowns last season, numbers that already left him well outside the weekly fantasy picture behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. He had a good camp himself, and Cincinnati's current depth chart still lists him with the first-team offense. The concern is what happened behind him. Fourth-round rookie Colbie Young kept making plays downfield and scored in the preseason, while Dohnte Meyers finished August with a team-high 11 catches for 121 yards and repeatedly stood out in practice. Bengals coaches have continued to point to Iosivas' experience as an advantage, so this is not a case of him losing the job. It is a case of the margin getting thinner. With Chase and Higgins already soaking up most of the useful volume, even a small reduction in snaps would make Iosivas tougher to justify outside of deeper leagues.

Cincinnati Bengals 26-year-old wide receiver Andrei Iosivas enters his fourth NFL season as the projected No. 3 receiver in this lethal Bengals passing attack. Over his first three seasons with the Bengals, he has earned 144 targets, hauled in 84 of them for 1,030 yards, and 12 touchdowns. Over a three-year span, that is nothing to write home about, and he is clearly an afterthought when you are behind guys like Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase. 2025 was his lowest touchdown production since entering the league, with only two, after he had six in 2024 and four in 2023. The only real path for Iosivas to be fantasy relevant is if one of those receivers were to get hurt, and even then, he would be viewed as a low-end WR3 at best. RotoBaller currently ranks him as the WR90, and that's after he finished the 2025 season as the WR58.

Iosivas was a sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft, and while he has 12 touchdowns over the past three years, he simply isn't involved in the offensive game plan behind superstar Ja'Marr Chase, standout receiver Tee Higgins, and running back Chase Brown in this Joe Burrow-led offense. In 2025, he had a 9.6 percent target share (89th among WRs), a 77.7 percent route participation (50th among WRs), and 40 first-read targets (65th among WRs). Because of that, his productivity and efficiency followed suit, ranking 96th in targets per route run and 93rd in first downs per route run. The only value Iosivas has is if Chase or Higgins were to miss any time. Fantasy managers will want to fade the 26-year-old receiver in their upcoming drafts in both dynasty and redraft formats.

Heading into his fourth professional season, dynasty managers pretty much know what to expect from Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas. With the Bengals' most notable addition to the receiver room coming in the form of fourth-round pick Colbie Young, Iosivas is all but locked into the WR3 role he's held for the past two seasons. While five missed games from Tee Higgins allowed Iosivas to find the end zone six times in 2024 (a number that dropped to only two in 2025), the rest of his stat line has remained incredibly consistent. Playing in all 17 games in both seasons, the 2023 sixth-round pick averaged 34.5 catches for 457 yards on a 9.6% target share, hardly straying from that baseline in either season. With Higgins and three-time All-Pro Ja'Marr Chase both on the field, Iosivas has been limited largely to clear-out routes with few opportunities of his own. While his size and versatility have allowed him to step in for either in the event of injury, in more cases than not, targets have been funneled primarily through whichever of the pair remains healthy, with Iosivas' own usage uptick still making him little more than a streaming flex option. Entering the final season of his rookie contract, the 26-year-old could still find greater opportunity on a more manageable depth chart in 2027, but at RotoBaller's dynasty WR141, any upside hype once surrounding Iosivas has all but faded away.

But in Cincinnati, he's a forgotten man behind one of the best WR duos in the league in Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. The 26-year-old former sixth-round selection by Cincy in 2023 out of Princeton was fourth on the team last year with 435 receiving yards in 17 games (nine starts). Iosivas caught 33 of his 58 targets for just two touchdowns. In 2024, he had a career-best 479 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 36 receptions. It didn't help his cause in 2025 that quarterback Joe Burrow missed eight games with a toe injury. The Bengals' third receiver will go undrafted in 12-team fantasy leagues this fall, but an injury to Chase or Higgins would make Iosivas an interesting waiver-wire pickup. He finished his third year in the NFL as the No. 70 overall receiver in half-PPR scoring, averaging just 4.9 fantasy points per game.

Iosivas had four catches for 61 yards against the Patriots without Chase, but he only managed one catch for 29 yards against the Ravens. He still had a solid fantasy day, though, since his 29-yard catch went for a touchdown. With Higgins still in the concussion protocol as the week of preparation begins for the Bengals' trip to Buffalo, Iosivas could be in an expanded role again this week. If Higgins is out again, Iosivas will be a high-risk flex play with good upside since he should be set for more targets once again as Joe Burrow settles in and the Bengals try to make a late playoff push. Until Higgins is cleared, Iosivas still has solid fantasy value and potential.

Although Iosivas could continue to have a higher ceiling if that's the case, the added involvement from Tinsley over the last few weeks should be a concern for fantasy managers.
