DK Metcalf A Borderline Must-Start Against Former Team

Friday, September 12, 10:59 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf performed well in his first game in the black and gold and now gets a chance at revenge against the team that traded him earlier this year, the Seattle Seahawks. Metcalf told reporters that Sunday's contest is "just another football game", but the 27-year-old will surely be targeted early and often as the de facto top pass-catcher for quarterback Aaron Rodgers. While he wasn't on the receiving end of any of Rodgers' four touchdown tosses in Week 1, he still paced Pittsburgh in targets and receiving yards while flashing his trademark explosiveness. The Seahawks struggled to contain opposing wideouts in 2024 and just allowed 108 yards to Ricky Pearsall last week, suggesting Metcalf could be in line for another productive showing. He offers plenty of upside as a rock-solid WR2 in Week 2.

Breece Hall News

Breece Hall Back in RB1 Territory

Saturday, September 13, 10:59 AM

New York Jets running back Breece Hall will look to build off his strong start this Sunday when his team hosts their division rival, the Buffalo Bills, at MetLife Stadium. The Jets' offense was flying high in Week 1 despite ultimately losing out in a shootout to former teammate Aaron Rodgers. Hall saw new quarterback Justin Fields rush in two scores in the loss, although he operated as New York's primary rusher, toting 19 carries to a combined eight for backfield mates Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis. Moreover, he saw four targets - the second-most on the team. The 24-year-old boasted just one outing of over 100 rushing yards in 2024, and he'll get a chance to eclipse the century mark again this weekend. Buffalo was torched by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 for 238 yards on the ground, and Hall and Fields could give the team fits again when they visit East Rutherford, New Jersey. He's a fringe RB1 - RotoBaller's PPR RB11 - ahead of Week 2's slate.
