Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Dont'e Thornton Jr. (hamstring) could be activated from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, though head coach Klint Kubiak wants to see more before making a decision. According to Sam Warren, Kubiak acknowledged that Thornton has made encouraging progress during his first two weeks of practice but stressed that he still needs to show he's ready. The 23-year-old has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury during training camp and returned to practice October 7. Thornton has been a full participant throughout both practice weeks but stayed on injured reserve for Las Vegas' last two games. The 2025 fourth-round pick caught just 10 passes for 135 yards in 15 appearances as a rookie. With Tre Tucker coming off a five-catch, 97-yard, two-touchdown performance against Buffalo and Jalen Nailor back in the lineup, Thornton faces plenty of competition for targets even if he's activated.

Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Chris Brazzell II (knee) will miss the entire 2026 season after suffering a torn LCL in his left knee during training camp. The third-round pick was placed on injured reserve July 31, cutting short an encouraging summer in which he had impressed Carolina's coaching staff and was expected to challenge Xavier Legette for playing time behind Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker. Brazzell brought plenty of upside into the NFL after catching 62 passes for 1,017 yards and nine touchdowns during his final season at Tennessee. At 6-foot-4 with 4.37 speed, he offered the Panthers a different option in their receiving corps. Now he'll have to wait until 2027 for his first opportunity to contribute, and there's no guarantee what his role will look like when he returns. That uncertainty hurts his dynasty value, but it doesn't erase the talent or draft investment.
