Elijah Mitchell News
Tuesday, October 20, 12:58 PM
The Philadelphia Eagles have signed running back Elijah Mitchell to their practice squad, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston. Signing Mitchell was just one of a series of moves the Eagles made in their backfield, as the team also waived running backs Jaydon Blue and Carson Steele (shoulder) from their active roster and Ian Wheeler from their practice squad. Eagles RB1 Saquon Barkley (hamstring) has missed each of the team's last two games, while top reserves Tank Bigsby (core) and Will Shipley (foot) are both on Injured Reserve. As a result, Dameon Pierce was Philly's lead back in Week 6. However, the Eagles' maneuvering on Tuesday could indicate that the team is confident in Barkley returning in Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys. If Barkley remains sidelined, Mitchell could join Pierce as a potential backfield option against Dallas.

Jawhar Jordan News
Monday, October 19, 5:28 PM
Houston Texans running back Jawhar Jordan saw his first game action of 2026 in Week 6 and delivered, recording six carries for 43 yards and a touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jordan began the year on Houston's practice squad, but he was elevated to the active roster in Week 6 with running back David Montgomery (groin) sidelined by injury. If Montgomery returns in Week 7, Jordan will likely slide back into the RB3 role in Houston behind both Montgomery and Woody Marks. Still, Jordan was productive when given opportunities with Houston last season as well, logging 227 scrimmage yards on 50 touches. In deeper fantasy leagues, Jordan could be worth picking up off the waiver wire just in case Montgomery ends up requiring an extended absence.
