George Kittle A Top Option At Tight End In Week 9

Saturday, November 1, 6:04 AM

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle caught four passes for 43 yards and a touchdown in Week 8. The stat line was not outstanding, but it was enough to qualify as one of the few bright spots for the team on a day where they generated just 223 net yards on offense. Kittle ranked third on the team with five targets, behind Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs, shoulder) and Christian McCaffrey, and will be in the mix to lead the team in targets in Week 9 against the Giants. Mac Jones (knee) has been tabbed to start while Brock Purdy (toe) is listed as questionable. Jones has been unafraid to throw this season (37.7 pass attempts/game), and he kept his tight end Jake Tonges in the picture while Kittle was on the shelf (6.5 targets/game in Jones' starts). Kittle is projected as a TE1 with top-five upside and should be plugged into starting lineups for Week 9.

Josh Jacobs Finds the End Zone for the Fifth Straight Week in Loss to Panthers

Sunday, November 2, 10:15 PM

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been playing through a calf injury in recent weeks, but he looked fully healthy in the Week 9 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at Lambeau Field. Jacobs led the backfield with 17 carries for 87 yards (5.1 yards per tote) and a touchdown, scoring for the fifth straight week and for the 10th time on the ground in eight games. Green Bay's loss to the Cleveland Browns back on Sept. 21 was the only time in 2025 so far in which Jacobs has not scored a rushing TD. In the last five games, the veteran back has 354 rushing yards and nine rushing scores. He also caught four of his five targets in the passing game for 13 yards in Sunday's 16-13 loss to Carolina. Jacobs has gone over 100 scrimmage yards in three straight games. Despite a tough upcoming matchup in Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles, Jacobs will remain a must-start RB in fantasy football.
