Los Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett isn't much of a fantasy option in a Week 3 game against the Minnesota Vikings. Everett has only put up nine fantasy points total through two games, and now he faces a Vikings defense that is fourth against opposing tight ends. Meanwhile, they struggle against wide receivers, so it's a safe bet that the Chargers will run the passing game through Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Everett has some season-long upside as the team adjusts into Kellen Moore's offensive scheme that has always featured strong tight end play, but Week 3 is unlikely to be Everett's first big game of the year. He's a middling TE2 option without much upside.

Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet will look to jump-start a slumping Bears offense against the defending champion Chiefs in Week 3. Kmet has been solid, if unspectacular, through the first two games with nine catches for 82 yards and 13 targets. Kmet has really struggled blocking for quarterback Justin Fields and has had a hand in the Bears dismal offensive effort to start the season. He will face a Chiefs defense that has already allowed two tight ends to post six-plus fantasy points against them. Those are not week-winning numbers but fantasy managers could do worse from the tight end position. Kmet will have a decent shot at posting top-12 fantasy numbers among tight ends in Week 3.
