Isiah Pacheco News

Isiah Pacheco Droppable After Landing on Injured Reserve

Friday, September 11, 5:10 AM

Detroit Lions running back Isiah Pacheco (knee/back) will enter the 2026 season on injured reserve. After a sprained MCL in early August, Pacheco dealt with a back injury that head coach Dan Campbell said was more concerning than the knee. With the former Chiefs' back set to miss at least the first four games of the season, fantasy managers in 10- or 12-team leagues should consider dropping him. He had 118 carries for 462 yards and one touchdown last season, averaging six half-PPR fantasy points per game. Once healthy, Pacheco will compete for a backup role behind star running back Jahmyr Gibbs. Even if he suffers an injury, a committee with Sione Vaki or Jacob Saylors, or a free-agency move by the Lions, would be considered as well. There are more high-upside running backs on the waiver wire, and the injuries have set him back.

Max Bredeson News

Vikings Draft Michigan Fullback Max Bredeson 159th Overall

Saturday, April 25, 10:54 AM

The Minnesota Vikings have selected Michigan fullback/tight end prospect Max Bredeson with the 159th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Bredeson will mostly operate as a blocker and special teams contributor for the Vikings. He had zero carries and 12 receptions across five seasons at school, but PFF gave him an 85.2 grade in run blocking and a 78.1 grade in pass blocking last year. He'll be tasked with creating opportunities for players like Kyler Murray, Aaron Jones, and Jordan Mason, but he won't accrue much fantasy value himself. Bredeson can be avoided in all fantasy drafts.
