Ja'Marr Chase News

Ja'Marr Chase Disappoints In Week 1 Win

Sunday, September 13, 12:20 PM

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase had two catches for 12 yards on four targets in the 33-27 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Chase was uncharacteristically uninvolved in the offense and the Bengals still managed to snag a win. Chase was the fourth-most targeted Bengal, trailing Mike Gesicki, Tee Higgins, and Chase Brown. It may be relevant to note that despite not entering the game with an injury designation, Chase was listed DNP in Friday's practice. It remains to be seen if the knee issue had anything to do with his abnormal performance in Week 1. If all is well, Chase should be considered a massive bounce-back candidate for Week 2 against the Houston Texans. The Texans were one of the best defenses in the NFL last season, but the Buffalo Bills were able to drop 36 points against them in Week 1, so Cincinnati may be able to do the same. Chase should still be considered a must-start WR1 heading into Week 2, despite the disappointing season debut.

Nico Collins News

Nico Collins Is a Top-10 WR in Week 1

Friday, September 11, 5:33 PM

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins is lined up for a heavy workload in Week 1, and he's a great option to get in fantasy lineups against the Buffalo Bills. Collins has posted three straight seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards, even though he has missed games each year. Last season, he racked up 1,117 yards and six touchdowns during the regular season as C.J. Stroud's top target. This year, Houston lost its second receiver, Jayden Higgins (knee), for the season to a preseason injury, and that could leave even more targets and opportunities for Collins. Stroud will be looking to bounce back after the rough end to last season, and if he's effective, he'll lean heavily on Collins. Against the Bills, Collins is a low-end WR1, checking in as RotoBaller's No. 7 WR in the PPR rankings for Week 1.
