San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jacob Cowing (hamstring) was placed on the Injured Reserve list on Wednesday, guaranteeing that he will miss at least the first four games of the season. Cowing was battling a hamstring injury for most of training camp and suffered a major setback while trying to return for the team's final preseason game. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan provided a six-week return timeline for Cowing, making his IR placement an easy decision. Detroit Lions rookie wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa only has two catches so far this season, but both have been truly highlight-reel grabs. After a one-handed touchdown catch in Week 1, TeSlaa's latest one-handed grab in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears went for 29 yards and set the Lions up in a goal-to-go situation. After playing just three snaps in the season opener, TeSlaa was on the field for 17 snaps in Week 2.
