Washington Commanders quarterback Jacoby Brissett completed 10-of-15 passes for 96 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's win over the Cincinnati Bengals. With Sam Howell getting the night off, the Commanders turned to Brissett to lead the offense. The eighth-year journeyman looked strong in the pocket while giving Washington their first score of the game on a 39-yard pass to wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley. Although he's not the starter, Brissett appears to be a strong insurance policy that can keep Washington's offense afloat if things go south with Howell at any point.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (illness) confirmed that he played the Monday night win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers through flu-like symptoms. "Just us executing," Hurts said, describing what it took to gut it out. "It's not the first time I've dealt with this or had to play with something like this. And it always happens on Monday night for whatever reason." Despite Hurts and several other members of the team being under the weather, the Eagles offense put up 472 yards, led by running back D'Andre Swift (130 rushing yards) and receiver A.J. Brown (nine catches for 131 yards). Hurts had an up-and-down performance, throwing and rushing for a touchdown while also throwing a couple of interceptions.
