Jacoby Brissett Throws Another Touchdown in Limited Work

Sunday, August 17, 10:31 AM

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett was only behind center for two drives on Saturday, but made the best of it during the 27-7 loss to the Denver Broncos. The veteran finished the day with 57 yards and a touchdown on 6-for-8 passing, and one carry for two yards. After going three-and-out on the opening drive, Brissett led the team on an 11-play, 67-yard drive that was capped off with a 16-yard touchdown throw to Simi Fehoko. Even though Clayton Tune has been with the team for a couple of years now, Brissett seems to have the backup spot all but locked up.

Joe Burrow Could Miss Three Months if he Requires Toe Surgery

Sunday, September 14, 8:59 PM

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (turf toe) could miss three months if it is determined that he needs to undergo surgery, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Images of Burrow's injury have been sent to Dr. Robert Anderson, who will review the information and suggest the best course of action for the former No. 1 overall pick. While there was certainly concern that Burrow's injury could be serious after he was seen with crutches and a walking boot, a three-month absence seems to fall on the more extreme end of worst-case scenarios for the star quarterback. We'll likely know more information about his status Monday when the dust settles on Week 2. Barring an unforeseen development, Jake Browning will start at quarterback for the Bengals in Week 3 and beyond.
