Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs logged 25 carries, 151 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns during Sunday's Week 5 win over the Arizona Cardinals. He also caught five of his six targets for an additional 56 receiving yards. Gibbs tallied over 200 scrimmage yards in the effort, solidifying his status as the overall RB1 in PPR leagues. In total, he is up to 747 scrimmage yards and nine touchdowns through just five games this season. The 24-year-old was a popular No. 1 pick in 2026 redraft leagues, and he's absolutely living up to the hype. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, Gibbs is heading into a bye week, but he'll return to action in Week 7 as a must-start RB1 against the Green Bay Packers.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III had 19 carries, 128 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns during Sunday's Week 6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He also converted his three targets into two catches for 11 receiving yards. After enduring running back issues for several years, the Chiefs must be thrilled to be finally getting production out of the position. In his first five games with the Chiefs, Walker has 665 rushing yards, 95 receiving yards, and eight total touchdowns. After Sunday's win, Walker became just the fourth running back in NFL history with 650+ rushing yards and six-plus rushing touchdowns through the first five games of a season. Locked and loaded as a mid-to-high RB1, Walker should be started in 100% of fantasy leagues ahead of his revenge game against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7.
