Jahmyr Gibbs In Line For Big Workload if Montgomery Misses Week 4

Wednesday, September 27, 4:40 PM

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs handled 18 touches last week in the absence of David Montgomery (thigh). He turned 17 carries into 80 yards and one reception into two yards. It wasn't a massive fantasy performance, but it was promising to see him operate as a workhorse, despite speculation that Craig Reynolds could eat into his workload significantly. If Montgomery, who is questionable against the Green Packers, misses Week 4, Gibbs is a must-start in all formats based on his projected touch total. The Packers have allowed the 11th-most fantasy points to running back thus far, so Gibbs would have RB1 upside. If Montgomery plays and sees a normal workload, Gibbs becomes a risky flex option once again.

Kenneth Walker III Scores Twice In Week 3 Victory

Monday, September 25, 4:08 AM

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III had his second two-touchdown game in as many weeks in Sunday's 37-27 win over the Carolina Panthers. In the Week 3 matchup, Walker carried the ball 18 times for 97 yards and added 59 more yards through the air on his three catches, leading the team with 166 scrimmage yards. The 22-year-old displayed incredible elusiveness on multiple plays to add extra yards on the ground and in the air. On one play in the second quarter, Walker froze defensive back Troy Hill with a juke that resulted in a 36-yard gain that set Jason Myers up for the third of his five field goals. Next week the Seahawks play against the Giants, who have allowed a rushing touchdown to each starting running back they have faced so far in 2023. Walker is primed for another big game in Week 4.
