James Conner Dealing With Back Injury

Wednesday, September 27, 7:30 PM

Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (back) is on the Week 4 injury report and was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday. Conner has already played through a calf injury this year and is now dealing with a back issue, although it doesn't appear serious enough to keep him from playing in Week 4 against the San Francisco 49ers. We'll keep a close eye on the 28-year-old's status as the weekend approaches. Through three weeks, the Cardinals offense has outperformed expectations, and Conner has been the clear workhorse back in the desert. He's averaging a career-high 5.2 yards per carry for 266 yards and two touchdowns on the ground on 51 rushing attempts through three weeks. Conner is a must-start in fantasy, but he and the Cardinals have a real challenge on their hands in San Fran's defense this Sunday.

Tyler Allgeier - Week 3 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Wednesday, September 20, 9:27 AM

Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier was the RB4 overall in standard scoring formats in Week 1 but had a disappointing Week 2 effort with 16 carries for 48 yards. However, his workload is still respectable enough to roll the dice on him in FLEX spots, especially in the deep leagues. In Week 3 against the Detroit Lions, the Falcons will continue to adopt a run-first approach and should have success on the ground. Allgeier is dependent on touchdowns to pay off in fantasy football, but he should have a good chance at finding the end zone against a mediocre defense. His workload could be reduced as the season moves forward, so now is the time to get the value out of him in fantasy lineups.
