Buffalo Bills running back James Cook rushed 17 times for 123 yards with four receptions for 36 yards in the Sunday's 38-10 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. As expected, the 23-year-old started the contest but continued to miss out on quite a few high-value touches despite clearly running as the most explosive backfield option. Latavius Murray punched it in for a touchdown on Buffalo's first-quarter drive while Damien Harris hit paydirt on a one-yard plunge in the final period. Cook surely had a big day, but it could have been a monster one with the Bills marching up and down the field early and often. If this form of usage persists, the dynamic Cook could remain relegated to mid-tier RB2 territory for however long he doesn't seize the bulk of the red zone work. Nevertheless, he will be a good bet for 15+ touches in Week 3's visit with the Washington Commanders, where Buffalo could play with a lead once again.

Atlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier was the RB4 overall in standard scoring formats in Week 1 but had a disappointing Week 2 effort with 16 carries for 48 yards. However, his workload is still respectable enough to roll the dice on him in FLEX spots, especially in the deep leagues. In Week 3 against the Detroit Lions, the Falcons will continue to adopt a run-first approach and should have success on the ground. Allgeier is dependent on touchdowns to pay off in fantasy football, but he should have a good chance at finding the end zone against a mediocre defense. His workload could be reduced as the season moves forward, so now is the time to get the value out of him in fantasy lineups.
