Lions Offensive Coordinator Expects "Huge" Season For Jameson Williams

Tuesday, May 13, 3:06 PM

Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams notched his first 1,000-yard campaign in 2024, snagging 58 passes for 1,001 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games. The former No. 12 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft looked to be headed toward a "bust" label after his first two seasons in the league, but his production last year was promising, and new Lions offensive coordinator John Morton expects a "huge" season from the speedster in 2025. While Williams is likely to continue to be a boom-or-bust player in a crowded offense, he has reportedly been great in meetings and has picked up his attention to detail. The 24-year-old finished as the overall WR19 in half-PPR formats a season ago and delivered seven top-24 weekly finishes. According to ESPN, he is being selected as the WR32 in early fantasy football drafts, so he could be a tremendous value pick if Morton's forecast comes to fruition.

Jonathan Gannon Excited For Marvin Harrison Jr.'s Second Season

Thursday, May 1, 1:05 PM

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that "when the staff is in place, the jump from Year 1 to Year 2, I think that's where guys make a huge jump," when referring to second-year wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. Gannon said that Harrison "went to work" on his weaknesses this offseason and "looks awesome out there right now." "I'm really excited to see where his game goes." The 22-year-old Ohio State product had very high expectations in his rookie year in the NFL in 2024 after being taken fourth overall by the Cardinals in last year's draft. Even though he had eight touchdowns in 17 games, his 62 receptions (116 targets) and 885 yards were considered a disappointment for fantasy managers that drafted him as a WR1 talent right away. If he can gain more chemistry with quarterback Kyler Murray, a 1,000-yard season in Year 2 in 2025 is entirely possible.
