Jared Goff Set Up for Success in Favorable Week 12 Matchup?

Saturday, November 22, 12:33 AM

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff had one of his worst games in a Lions uniform in Week 11, completing just 14 of 37 pass attempts for 255 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. On paper, Goff has a much easier matchup in Week 12 when Detroit hosts the New York Giants. Through 11 weeks, the Giants have allowed the sixth-most passing yards (2,641) in the NFL. New York will also remain without cornerback Paulson Adebo (knee), who has been out since Week 7 with a knee injury. The Lions are dealing with some health issues themselves, as Goff will be without tight end Sam LaPorta (back), and multiple Detroit offensive linemen are playing through nagging injuries. Still, Goff could have a chance to do damage against the struggling Giants defense and profiles as a must-start fantasy QB1 in Week 12.

Josh Allen Says he's Fine After Getting Beat Up in Thursday Night Loss

Friday, November 21, 7:54 PM

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was sacked a career-high eight times and hit four other times in the Thursday night loss to the Houston Texans. Allen took a beating, but he said he's fine after having his left shoulder examined by athletic trainers. The 29-year-old stayed in the game and finished with no touchdowns for only the third time in his career. Allen was also seen shaking his right hand after taking a sack, but he said after the game that "we're good." It was a rough game for Buffalo's offense, but the good news is that Allen will have extra time to rest before a Week 13 game on Nov. 30 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Allen's fantasy managers will be hoping that tight end Dalton Kincaid (hamstring) will be back by then, and it's likely that the team will end receiver Keon Coleman's two-game absence for disciplinary reasons. Allen should be able to bounce back against Pittsburgh if he's healthy.
