Jeremy McNichols Not Viable In Week 17

Friday, December 27, 6:05 PM

Washington Commanders running back Jeremy McNichols should not be started in any format this weekend when he faces the Atlanta Falcons. Even with Austin Ekeler (concussion) sidelined, McNichols has only seen a light uptick in opportunities. Instead, Brian Robinson Jr. has taken on more passing work. Over the past two weeks, McNichols has logged just four total rushing attempts and five total receptions for just 22 combined yards. Across the first 13 games of the campaign, McNichols flashed some solid upside, tallying 5.0 yards per carry but has rarely been given enough work to an impact. Given his minimal role in the Washington offense, fantasy managers should look for an alternative option as he is only projected to see a handful of attempts.

Travis Homer Ruled Out For Thursday Night Football Against Seattle

Wednesday, December 25, 5:26 PM

Chicago Bears running back Travis Homer (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. Homer will miss his second consecutive game after injuring his practice in last Friday's practice, missing the Week 16 game versus the Detroit Lions. The 26-year-old did not practice this week and was eventually ruled out. Homer hasn't had much of a role as Chicago's No. 3 back, with three carries and three catches over his last two games. D'Andre Swift, Roschon Johnson, and Darrynton Evans will lead Chicago's backfield with Homer sidelined. Swift is the only realistic fantasy option this week, while Johnson is more of a deep-league flier in Week 17.
